For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, I had grapes too. From the garden. And Juice. So have had 6. If I have salad and apples for supper, I'll have had ten. I've still got most of the day left so plenty of time for me.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 18:55

any of you eat Millet? Is it nice?

littlerach · 05/09/2008 18:56

OB, the skirt arrived this afternoon, thanks so much, it's lovely.

Your handwriting is almost identical to a friend of mine's, and i was rather curious as to what she'd sent me!

I told the school secretary what had happened with the bus and she was . Dd1 was fine about it, quite cool really. was just me in shock.

Isn't the weathe rterrible?
I have been wearing my new raincoat though.

Tatties, was it you asking about green coats?

After a year of searching, that was the only one I liked.

I think the trip might be to Castles of Historical Interest on the Welsh Borders. However if you look rudely good in swimwear Lupe, please feel free.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 19:20

If we're off to Wales, I'll need to get one of those headscarfs, I think.

Will we all wear green coats?

coffee

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 19:25

Where's Lully again? She keeps disappearing, is she ok?

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 19:25

Yes. I might not, but I'm the one with the red brolly shouting 'My group, this way'.

Lupe has a green coat. I'm sure of it.

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:30

Well, I thought it was a fantasty trip.

A castle on the Welsh borders sounds good but if it's ok I'll wear a coat.

BBBee · 05/09/2008 19:31

I don;t have a green coat but I don't think I am going to come because it doesn;t sound very good.

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:32

I do have an emerald green one but it's not waterproof. Wales = rain.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 19:32

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:32

Bbbee, why have you gone all sourpuss?

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 19:32

Lupe, a green coat and swimwear will be lovely.

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:33

I am eating a Bounty ice-cream. This has so far been unsuccessful in producing a carribean mood.

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 19:33

[shoves Bee up the steps]

you can sit next to FMV who has entered into the spirit enthusiastically. If you ask her nicely she'll tuck the edges of her blanket over your knees and share her humbugs.

Right, who is missing? And don't say I never show you girls a good time.

littlerach · 05/09/2008 19:34

EMERGENCY
I have found my black beans to make a stew thing and the date on the (unopened) packet is Feb 08.

But they are dried and it's best before, not us eby.

I've put them in to soak for th enight.

Will they poison me?????

ahundredtimes · 05/09/2008 19:34

No, surely not. How could they? I am confident. [I also know nothing about beans]

OsmosisBanana · 05/09/2008 19:35

I'm going on Guads trip. I like the idea of us all lookingly magically rudely good in swimwear. And langoustine. And champagne. Dammmit. I want to go on a holiday like that one day but feel the chance has passed. Until childer folk have fledged.

I did go to Thailand and Cambodia for 3 months. But i was grubby then.

It is still raining in Portugal... Thank God I made such an effort to find a bikini that didn't make me cry.

Still, if I get drunk enough, I mgiht just ponce about in it anyway. Do you think the spanx underneath will be obvious??

Had spray tan today (bimbo alert). I smell odd.

Glad you like skirt LittleR. I liked it a lot but never found anywhere to wear it. Maybe if my family had more civilised Xmas'

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:35

They will be fine I am sure.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 19:36

You need Mailbu, Guad. That'll get you in the mood. And a spot of Bob Marley.

BBBee, why are you being miserable? I am glad ahundred is taking none of that nonsense. You will come and you will have fun.

Beans will be fine. I think. I'd eat them. But don't blame me if it goes wrong. Are you coming on the bus, LR? And will you eat the beans before or after?

BBBee · 05/09/2008 19:38

the beans will be fine - surely they will be fine - they are beans. Actaully I don;t know because I do not know such things. I would have been the one with Nicholas Evans saying "oh it looks okay - what is the worst that could happen"

okay

is there going to be singing?

(filth, let's sneak to the back and have a ciggy)

Guadalupe · 05/09/2008 19:39

Lol at Malibu. My mother used to drink that.

We are going to Wales for now, OB, but the carribean trip is next. I'm thinking November?

BBBee · 05/09/2008 19:39

i think OB is being a little optomiostic about this - she is all shellfish and champagne but I know it is going to be peanut butter sandwiches and ribena.

littlerach · 05/09/2008 19:40

Good, I agree.
They will be fine.

If you don't hear from me after the weekend, send out a search party.

Yes, I'll be on the bus.
If I'm not poisoned.
Perhaps before the beans, in case of flatulence, hmm???
