We had peaches, we had plums, we had strawberries in the sun, but the peaches and the plums, like the strawberries are all gone - 10 / 10 thread

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh look my shortened version of dh and the photo appeared down below. Sorry about that. I thought it didn't post, so went for the longer version.

Tatties · 04/09/2008 21:52

I agree avi

Guadalupe · 04/09/2008 22:00

I don't much like robin williams but I'd doorway with Matt Damon anyday. I know he's a bit ugly but it's the arms. I like arms.

Titty - I like the yama picture but it looks painful. I can't bear anyone to pull my hair.

I like your name avi. I don't mean bad odd, I just mean odd odd and not here particularly, or that people chat, more what everyone is preoccupied by I suppose.

I'm feeling stressed. I have been trying to fill in the online registration (Twernt like that in my day) for uni before the ACTUAL registration process.

Before I can even register on my course, get my timetable or anyfink I have to set up a payment method. I had already agreed previously to pay by DD as we don't have a card. That isn't an option on the registration process online.

I'm going to be a mature student muppet wandering around with no timetable, no friends, no idea where I'm going.

I feel a little cry coming on.

LittleR / PSW - did the stuff come?

Guadalupe · 04/09/2008 22:20

I quite like that initial bewilderment though, OB, you have no idea what's going on, who is who or where to go but still, it's quite exciting starting off, no?

Tatties - we should start an arm appreciation society. Have you seen his arms in The bourne films? Phwoooarr.

OsmosisBanana · 04/09/2008 22:29

One name, well strictly two, but one person.

Kevin Pieterson. Not just arms. The back muscles on the man could crack walnuts. I dread to think of his buttockles.

Thanks for pulling me back from the abyss.

OsmosisBanana · 04/09/2008 22:31

i can't see photos. Meanies.

Going to bed. Not to sulk, to tidy up 5 weeks of unfolded clothes. Happy days.

BBBee · 04/09/2008 23:12

i know what you mean about it making you wonder. I think it is different from sitting round the campfire because the computer makes it less immediate and somehow more intimate. The meet ups are really interesting. Bozo and I did some conjecturing about what you expect and what people are like in RL compared to MN life but then we had to give children drinks and find shoes.

shame as it had the beginnings of a wonderfully interesting conversation - I shall add it to the list of wonderfully interesting conversations I haven't had.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 01:33

Bero, what a lovely day. Well done. LR, poor you, watching your DD sail past in the bus. Am glad you caught up with it.

The rain is coming in my window and I'm getting wet.

Banana and peanut butter pita (1)
Apple
cinnamon raisin apples (.5)
broccoli
banana
Mushroom risotto (.5)
grapes
banana

Thought I had done better than that

3pm, you said? Shall I bring flapjacks? They have Flax seeds and apple in them.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 01:36

Oh crap. Literally. DS just did a poo in the bed. MY bed

He's only been in bed for ten minutes and I asked him if he needed the toilet. And it wasn't just a neat pile either.

And I don't have a spare duvet cover. And the sheets have holes in. And I can't afford to buy new sheets or keep doing extra laundry. But I have to have a spare set of sheets. I could cry.

mou · 05/09/2008 01:55

LOL superbunny...but not at you... my DD..'mummy i'm sorry i've poo'd in my bed but it's ok i cleaned it up'

it was EVERYWHERE!!!!

then 'you not cross mummy, can i have a hug?'

aaaahhhhhh!!!!

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 02:27

Thanks mou!

I shouted at him

Then I felt bad so I went in to say sorry and he was asleep. So I gave him a hug and a kiss anyway. Then went back into the bathroom and saw the duvet cover and almost cried again. Ugh.

mou · 05/09/2008 02:37

i 'inheritted' some bedding, not too awful, not brill..if you think i can get it to you let me know..going to bed now, will check MN in morning if you want it.please don't be offended by my offering it.

SuperBunny · 05/09/2008 02:44

Thanks mou. I'm in the US so probably not worth it but it was very kind of you to offer. I'm just feeling a bit 'challenged' atm

filthymindedvixen · 05/09/2008 08:23

mou - are you new? to 10/10 or are you Avi?

I have made some very satisfying pea soup whuich I am looking forward to for lunch.
Apparently we in the north are in for a further 3 more days of incessant rain

I so resent being plunged into Autumn/winter clothes. I have a lovely little green cord jacket which is brisk and perky which I have been looking forward to wearing and instead I am in fleeces and raincoats. I feel cheated. And all my blackberries are rotting

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 08:35

morning chaps
green cord jacket sounds perfect for autumn - you can wear it and march crisply through piles of crunchy leaves

UR very sorry to hear of duvet woes
I hate that feeling where just looking at something makes you dissolve
and then you have to pick yourself up again because no-one else is going to sort it out
hope you have a better day today

I like arms
not sure if I like Matt Damon's arms
wrists in shirt sleeves are really quite urhrrrrrrrr sometimes aren't they? if they have the right amount of hair

OP posts:
filthymindedvixen · 05/09/2008 08:37

yes, but we have no crsipy leaves - it has rained incessantly here for 5 days now
I was saying I felt cheated by lack of autumn. A week ago I was standing on a campsite in a sundress, now I am damp and shivering.

FrannyandZooey · 05/09/2008 08:38

TBB fab pictures
I wore a hideously ugly support belt during latter part of pg
am not actually in pain with it now but there is still wonkiness
shall I see expensive physio again? or osteopath? or chiropracter? wish I knew what they all are
