For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

"franny's plump cheeked baby"

I don't refer to franny as "plump cheeked baby"

Oh did you all read it too? I just read that thread. I have no idea if real or not, but i found it rather moving and upsetting. I know that feeling EXACTLY, like crying when his dad said 'do you need a bib' and that heightened sensitivity and uselessness around others who are noisy and rude. I found it rather moving.

PSW. OMG. I never said Congratulations! It's all v. exciting. Well done. Hope you start feeling less tired and sick soon.

I love this woman Boco. Please find out more and make her your Best Friend immediately. I am coming up your way tomorrow. I think I even drive around C on my way, I shall wave out the window Fra and blow kisses in your general direction.

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:42

are you visiting your friends in on the coast again? I like the sound of bats in cabinets too.

Wasn't it a strange thread? Everyone was baying at first, screeching with laughter at the thought of him crying. I can't see why it's so odd to cry at that, it's just the ghost bit that seems funny, underlying principle isn't. I said I cried when my fish got finrot. It's true.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:43

It's that combination of hope and feelings of shame and hopelessness. Oh dear, most upsetting. Like that man opening the shop all over again. I find things like this dreadfully upsetting.

Why am I up, getting upset by a troll anyway? I have done nothing for tomorrow. Nothing.

Have a good week.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:45

Oh it's just awful! I think it's probably a troll - the hamster knocking over a glass of water pushed it a bit.

No, am going to see parents for a few days. Might go for a day to the coast if the weather is nice. We always have to go out for the days when we visit.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:47

Because he was taking ds to pre-school - and that should have been the one good thing in his life, and a lovely, sweet event.

I get terribly moved by this sort of thing. It's silly. I cry when I see people all dressed up too, you know, like a family going out somewhere or something. All pleased and pulling at their jackets and things. I am absurd.

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:48

It is humiliating too, and you don't want to make a fuss in front of your child but you can't help welling up, that seems horrible to me. And if it's not true then it's still horrible that everyone thinks it's so funny.

trouble is, if I had watched it happen, I may have laughed because the noise is funny isn't it. Hmm.

ANYWAY

Yes, you have a good week too, if you are going away. I assume you are. We are going on Friday. I can't be bothered to pack, or go for that matter but I expect I will like it when we get there. Long way though.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:48

I am absurd and I must go to bed. . . .

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:49

ah, to your parents, well, have fun.

It's not silly, it's thoughtful and sensitive and respecting people's hope like you say.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:50

Oooh you're back.

God, I wouldn't have laughed. I'd have cried too probably. On account of being so absurd, especially if he was going to great pains to have a nice time with his son or something.

Right. Enough!

Packing is a drag though isn't it. I'll do it in the morning. Perhaps I will in fact have done some freaky friday swap with Franny's dp and when I go upstairs all the clothes will be laid out on the bed or something useful. Or does she do the laying out and he does the packing? Either would be good.

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:51

and if it is a troll then I doubt they will admit to it now after causing such an upset, well, maybe they will, I wouldn't.

I should go to bed too. I can't seem to go up early atm.

ahundredtimes · 03/08/2008 23:54

Me neither. I might have a walk in the garden in honour of you.

We go to bed later and later. I can't see me managing to leave here early tomorrow at this rate. DH staying here. We are having silent Kramer v Kramer thing over JJ. We both want him with us. . .

Me and dcs might win, unless he pulls the lonely card, then we'll all give in.

Night

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:54

you might laugh though, if you just saw someone go up to a man and make a ghost noise because it seems farcical. This would be replaced by shame and hand wringing on seeing him cry but the initial response would probably be laughter assuming it was a joke, no? I think that's why people think it's funny, because doing that isn't seen as a nasty thing, though of course it can be and in this possible true incident it is

Guadalupe · 03/08/2008 23:56

you are not all going then? Let dh have the dog if you have the dcs, no? Unless you think JJ would love the trip.

I MUST go to bed too. Goodnight.

Guadalupe · 04/08/2008 00:00

except I haven't yet.

I have just noticed that my vase of Dahlias is rather lacking. DD was scouting about for a jar earlier and I noticed that she had taken the best one and put it in a jar of water next to her bed. There seems to be significantly fewer flowers now and no doubt if I look in on my way past she will have a plush bunch of all the best ones. Hmmm.

ahundredtimes · 04/08/2008 00:01

Hmmm. Don't know. I think OP or troll, didn't set it up v. well so it seemed absurd to read it like that.

I found the spilling the ribena more upsetting in a way, and his father making remarks.

Can't quite articulate what I hate about that sort of thing. People doing noises in people's ears I hate, much the same as I hate V signs behind heads in photographs, faces behind backs, pulling out of chairs, tripping people up. All that stuff that's meant to be teasing but is aggressive and attacks dignity.

God, I am going on. See, absurd! Hope you have a good holiday Lupe. It'll be good when you are there - if it stops raining. . . .

ahundredtimes · 04/08/2008 00:02

I bought Dahlias from car boot sale last week! Potted outside, they are doing v. well.

Also scored on bikes there. Excellent.

Right. Let's count to 3 and turn off laptops.
