For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Today has been hectic, as the first day of the holidays tends to be, so I stayed up for a bit to regain sanity.

I have been feeling very strange indeed for the last day or so. Extremely over-sensitive, over-interprety, teary. I would think I was pre-menstrual, but for the fact that I never am pre-menstrual, and I'm not menstruating atm anyway. [tmi]

berolina · 26/07/2008 23:57

[disclaimer I am NOT pg. 'Tis lactation]

IdrisTheDragon · 26/07/2008 23:57

Not sure why I'm still up but need a little me space sort of thing.

IdrisTheDragon · 26/07/2008 23:58

And then I will go to bed

berolina · 26/07/2008 23:58

Gosh, you've broken up late, TooT. When do you start back?

IdrisTheDragon · 26/07/2008 23:58

You could be pre-menstrual I suppose

TooTicky · 26/07/2008 23:59

Are you getting enough sleep?

OP posts:
IdrisTheDragon · 27/07/2008 00:00

We've had a week of holiday now. And DH has taken most of this week off and I have the pleasant feeling of being unsure what day it is.

TooTicky · 27/07/2008 00:00

Your me time is like my sanity Idris. More important than sleep sometimes.

Evening.

On a f&v related topic. When do tomatoes tend to crop? I s anyone growing any this year? Have they cropped already? Are mine just barren??

Anyway, I like the title, very apt (and am not at all miffed about lack of comment on my suggestion )

TooTicky · 27/07/2008 00:00

School starts 4th/5th Sept.

I have lots of tomatoes but they are very green. Are yours indoors or outdoors?

Sorry, what was your title?
