For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg herehere and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Lully your (D)H sounds very hard work.

Well done, Pink's DD. DS did not poo on the toilet today. First time in months that he's had an accident. Grr.

Pluots (2)
Bananas (2)
Olives (2)

Oh Franny, that's such marvellous, wonderful news. You had him at home!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful name. So happy for you.

Do you know, I tossed and turned all night and got up at 3am with restless legs which I only normally get when pregnant so I was thinking of you right then. I am psychic.

Hurray

I am going to text Boco and Bee right now.

FrannyandZooey · 18/07/2008 08:01

he's really beautiful
ds1 (omg I have a ds1 and a ds2 ) is being SO solicitous about him and telling us off for being too noisy (speaking in whispers
I will do details later but I was so lucky, can't believe he was born just in time to have him at home
and ds1 did not wake up a bit!
I MOOED oh god did I moo
and the gas and air ran out
oh man
what a night
thank you all

IdrisTheDragon · 18/07/2008 08:04

Guadalupe · 18/07/2008 08:06

of course he is beautiful, oh I can't wait to see him.

Damn the gas running out, why do they never bring enough?

littlerach · 18/07/2008 08:14

Oh wonderul news, so pleased for you.
And athome too.
Well done Franny!!!!!

FrannyandZooey · 18/07/2008 08:16

oh and his head was 35 cm
and my waters never broke
he came out in the membranes more or less and she had to strip them away
and I couldn't deliver the flaming placenta
that was the worst bit probably - it took forever and I was ready to jack the whole thing in
but they couldn't do anything - I hadn't had the injection and I wad going to have to transfer
anyway somehow it came out
I don't remember it all

oh and I bit the doula
I thought it was my own hand LOLOL
she was going "stop biting!" and I was saying "it's alright "
I didn't know I was biting HER
that was shortly after the gas and air ran out LOLOL

pinkspottywellies · 18/07/2008 08:19

at the biting!!!

Isn't it lucky to have the membranes intact?
