For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg herehere and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Would it be smug to say I only ever got to 10 stone?

Yes it would.

20lbs is baby-related? I only put on 12lb but mainly because I lost a lot in the first trimester, not knowing I was pg and being really ill & all.

TooTicky · 14/07/2008 19:27

But there must be some perks to being a shortarse.

I know. These days my weight can change by 10lbs over the course of 2 weeks without even trying to gain or lose weight. It's all very odd. And just a bit frustrating. Of course, when I actually need to lose weight, it won't budge.

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 19:40

I put on 3 stone with ds and weighed myself the day I got back from hospital
I had lost approx 8 lb in total
ds himself weighed almost 9

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 19:45

oh and you know all you lurker doubters
I am getting LOADS of emails from people saying things like 'good luck with the sweep today'
people I have not mentioned it to in any email or spoken to about it on a thread
even regular posters are lurky lurk lurkers

UnderRated · 14/07/2008 19:48

Wah! I don't want to think about people lurking on here. I have told you far more about my 'situation' than I should have and don't really mention it on MN. I like to think that you are the only people who know. But now, random strangers know stuff and I don't even know who they are.

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 19:52

oh I am sorry UR
I enjoy teasing the others about it but I can see you really would not be comfortable about it
I am sure they only read MY posts
that's right isn't it lurkers
come out and tell UR you NEVER read her stuff

UnderRated · 14/07/2008 19:52

Nice that they send you lovely emails tho Franny

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 19:56

yes and they always say "I never read UR's posts. I don't even know who she is."

UnderRated · 14/07/2008 19:56

LOL Franny!

It's my own fault. I know this is the interweb and is a public forum. I shouldn't post anything I am concerned about. But it's so cosy and friendly in here...

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 19:59

I know I pretend no-one is here except us too UR
it's much more fun that way

you know the saying about 'dance like no-one is watching'? well you have to Mumsnet like no-one is reading

Guadalupe · 14/07/2008 20:05

Lurkers? I don't believe it, I think you imagine all those e-mails, Franny. You send off bulk cooking documents into cyber space to confuse random recipients.

I have spent an hour trying to get ds2 asleep. Now he is upstairs banging and shouting with dd and I have gived up and scoffed 12 whole squares of crying chocolate.

Guadalupe · 14/07/2008 20:05

Gah! given, not gived

pinkspottywellies · 14/07/2008 20:08

Love the title

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 20:08

oh I think if I was you I would have gived up
much more expressive

I hope he goes to sleep soon - is it his skin keeping him awake or is he just still out of sorts?

Boco · 14/07/2008 20:14

I just put the dds to bed and dd1 said 'I love you, especially your face and your behaviour'. I'm quite pleased with that.

UnderRated · 14/07/2008 20:16

I would have gived up too, Guad. Last week, my phsyiotherapist asked how my shoulder had been, and I told her, "Well, it hurted quite a lot..."

UnderRated · 14/07/2008 20:18

lol @ Boco's DD. That's fab.

My mindee arrived this afternoon saying, "UnderRated, I did a good job listening when we were out this morning but you probably didn't"

IdrisTheDragon · 14/07/2008 20:19

Hello

DH is cooking me food.

I had a sweep on a Monday and DD turned up within 24 hours. And the contractions didn't start until 6:45 in the morning which was quite nice of her.

My F&V intake hasn't increased since this monring. But there will be something when my food is delivered.

I got to 13 stone with DD (and 13.5 stone with DS). I always put on 4.5 stone it seems. As I am 5 foot 4 I looked like a blob.
