For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Ahundred you sound vey pateint. Sorry you missed out on lunch.

Hope mortgage stuff gets sorted out, OB. Avi sounds very helpful with all this.

Hope all angry DC feel less angry soon. They are quite exhausting to deal with.

Sanpro stories are horrific. I have an embarrasing one of my own that I will share one day.

I was going to ask you about bf issues but since this is not the private chat room I like to think it is, I will refrain, for now.

Mulberries
Blueberries
Mixed veg in noodles
banana
more blueberries
dried fruit

6-ish. Crappity crap.

berolina · 14/07/2008 08:02

pinkspottywellies · 14/07/2008 08:03

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your cat BBB Hope your ceremony today helps you all feel a bit better x

You don't normally see me on here at this ungodly hour! But I had to pop into the yurt and say good luck with the rummage today Franny. I'll be on tenterhooks all day!!

pinkspottywellies · 14/07/2008 08:04

Oh and weetabix. Just about go and tackle a rotten mango to see what I can salvage but will also have a pear and a nectarine and oj.

Morning Bero.

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 08:11

LARGE mango - a whole one as there was a small one ripe at the same time so I didn't have to share
raisins
strawberries
nectarines
orange juice
at least 5 and it is only 8 am here [competitive]

UR we have to pretend it's a private chatroom or it is no fun otherwise. I told dp off for telling his sister and a friend about the state of my cervix, then blushed to remember I have told the whole interweb

Avi, dp and I are wondering if you had a previous life in the finance world which we didn't know about

god I was in a state last night. I have the sweep booked this afternoon, and things have been quite sore, and I suddenly realised I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get to town to pick up ds from my friend who's looking aftre him, after I had had it. I think it could be quite painful as everything down there seems disastrous atm
anyway just got to that stage where you feel completely demoralised and can't believe you can cope at all
dp having day working at home hurrah so can give me lift home after sweep
I just felt so self-pitying thinking about having to hobble to get ds with my cervix all ravaged
but is sorted now and I think will be fine for rest of day apart from dp helping with that bit
I had escalated it to "I can't do anything I can't look after ds waaaaaah" etc but I think I was a bit over tired
feel better now
am planning to get lift to gym after sweep if humanly possible
that should shift the little blighter

Tatties · 14/07/2008 08:20

Morning

What time is your sweep Franny? Definitely good plan to get lifts everywhere, I am pleased about that. It is horrid when you feel you are not coping, but you need to be looked after atm.

Just OJ so far

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 08:23

it's at 1.45
fingers but not legs crossed

Tatties · 14/07/2008 08:28

Will be thinking of you then

pinkspottywellies · 14/07/2008 08:30

Will be thinking opening flowers at 1.45 Franny and nice smooth car windows and the like! I guess the doula's back now?

FrannyandZooey · 14/07/2008 08:35

doula is back I presume
haven't spoken to her as am not feeling very strong or beautiful
it is a hard expectation to live up to sometimes

IdrisTheDragon · 14/07/2008 09:37

I will think of you at 1:45 Franny .

Um, orange juice and a small amount of raisins in muesli.

Boco · 14/07/2008 09:52

Good luck with the rummage Franny.

I know my Latitude woes are getting tedious now, but this is really not going smoothly. I bought dp and the girl's ticket from a friend's husband, and the ticket hasn't arrived and he's being really really vague. We're leaving in 3 days, everyone else I know had their ticket arrive ages ago, I'm worried that I'll be going on my own at this rate. I tried to persuade him to chase it up this morning and he just looked really grumpy about it. Is really frustrating and unsettling not knowing.

Boco · 14/07/2008 09:53

Sorry, very self indulgent thing to worry about while franny about to have cervix stretched.

lionheart · 14/07/2008 10:45

Hello everyone and good luck Franny.

TooTicky · 14/07/2008 10:49

Oh good luck Franny. Wonder if you can produce a baby before the sweep? Sweep sounds so odd. I presume they don't use a broom.

I have an Ace of Base song going around my head, with alternative words:
All that she wants
Is to have a baby
But not tomorrow
All that she wants
Is to have a baby
Today

Boco, was he posting the tickets to you?

Boco · 14/07/2008 10:52

No Toot, his dd is in my dd's class so I see him at school, he was just supposed to be handing it over, but says that it hasn't arrived and seems very unbothered by that, despite the fact they were all sent out last week. Having to trust that he'll chase it up and find out what's happened, and he's the vaguest man in the world.
