For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Thanks Franny. I know it is ok that he does it, it is just hard to hear. But, we had the Best Morning Ever, so I feel ok now. We went to the beach and I dug a big hole and DS climbed in it and asked me to bury him. So I did

Def try to get the tickets. Glad DS is feeling better.

Have a good trip, MrsC

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 17:57

ok thanks chaps
I was worried I was being a bit selfish - hence not trying to get tickets for it in the first place in case
they are a bit like gold dust

Franny - posted recipes on 10/10 thread

Also, accidentally found a recipe for Lemon-scented Quinoa with Tahini dressing which made me think of Toot.

UnderRated · 30/06/2008 18:59

Grapes (2)
Tomatoes
Blueberries
Dried Cranberries
Apple

TigerFeet · 30/06/2008 20:00

I have eaten a load of crap today.

Norty vegger.

UR, glad you had a good morning, agree with everyone else when they say that children kick off against the people they feel most secure with. That pearl of wisdom has got me through many a tantrum.

Hope you get the tickets Franny, sounds like fun.

Enjoy your trip MrsC

Tatties · 30/06/2008 20:29

"children kick off against the people they feel most secure with" - phew!

FrayedKnot · 30/06/2008 20:30

Evenin'

Oh my God Franny you so don;t look pregnant from the back.

You know the baby is coming on Friday don;t you...not long now. But get the tickets just in case. And keep meditating on that car window blossoming flower.

Loopy have a lovely time!

Boco loved your description of DD packing her suitcase for pre-school

Glad to hear the small ill people are both better this evening.

And UR I do agree re the tantrums, and glad you had a lovely time at the beach.

DS asked me today

"Mummy who do you think drew that on the wall today? It wasn;t me, by the way"

UnderRated · 30/06/2008 21:06

LOL FK, that's the sort of thing my DS would say. "Look Mummy, who drewed a toilet on the table?" hmmm, I wonder...

"children kick off against the people they feel most secure with" this will be my new Mantra

Franny, if the baby comes tomorrow, as agreed, there is no reason at all why you can't go to the festival at the weekend. I mean, you'll be up and about and wanting to go galavanting with a 3 day old, won't you? There will be no discomfort or waddling or breasts like melons and how hard can it be to get a newborn out of the house?

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 21:17

oh lawks no I will not take the baby to the festival if there is a baby
I was thinking I probably wouldn't have had it and it will give me a chance to meet another 3000 strangers who can all ask me when it is due and laugh uproariously when I say "today"
it is only a little festival of like story telling and fairy crowns and things, not the sex and drugs type
if I can stand to get there in the car it should be lovely - ds would be so happy

I do want to have the baby tomorrow, though
am rubbing hands at dp who is GLUING his eyes to the ds lite and pretending not to notice

LOL at the handrubbing. Good luck. I was denied that. A loud rock concert did it for me. And pot smoking (not me, obviously, but people nearby)

(You know I was joking about taking the baby, don't you?)

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 21:26

yes I knew but I thought other people might think that I thought I WOULD take it

right I must take this handrubbing to a new level
good night ladies

Actually, it was U2 - do they count as rock? It was loud anyway. Ex thought Bono may be a good name for DS

taliac · 30/06/2008 21:52

Have just eaten an apricot crumble made with the apricots that stayed sour even when ripe.

Strangely enough it was not a nice apricot crumble. But I ate it anyway, and felt good about not having chucked the sour apricots.

So that makes 9 today. I'll go drink juice in a minute in an effort to make the 10.

Franny - sending lots of good vibes.

pinkspottywellies · 30/06/2008 22:25
