For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

LOLOLOL
can you eat chips still? If it had worked I would have had to sue her for distress and inconvenience
imagine not being able to eat greasy fat chips anymore

LOLOLOL

I hate chips, greasy ones, maybe that's the fault of the birth hypnotherapist and I just didn't realise.

Didn't really work for me either. She has this transatlantic accent like Lloyd Grossman and I found the way she counted to ten really really annoying, in her hypnotising airy voice, so there wasn't much relaxation, more duvet clenching irritation.

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 12:18

well the house is reasonably tidy, my bag is packed, dp is at home tomorrow, and I am a strong and beautiful woman

now all I need is for my cervix to open like a flower

well come on then

Coaxing doesn't work. Try shouting at it.

I got like that after a few days of staring at the drumming baboon and visualising beautiful flowers. Resorted to 'JUST FUCKING OPEN WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU!'

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 12:34

yes everyone else visualise it for me
I can't be arsed

OP posts:
Boco · 30/06/2008 12:35

Flowers open very slowly. Maybe visualise lift doors instead. Just a simple PING.

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 12:37

or a car window rolling smoothly down?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 12:38

Poor ds Franny. Mine is not well too! Sore throat, snuffly, warmish, no appetite and clingier than usual...

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 12:41

that's the one, Tatties
so YOU gave it to us?

OP posts:
Tatties · 30/06/2008 12:56

God I hope we can't pass on lurgies via 10/10

Ds is perking up a bit actually, he has just put on his hard hat and goggles, saying, "I need to saw something!"

TooTicky · 30/06/2008 13:13

MrsC, I am very sorry things are annoyingb you but you hasve made me smile A LOT
Very sympathetically of course!

Franny, in my slightly extensive experience, I have found that next-child-up does come down with something shortly before arrival of new baby. Some sort of psychological I-still-need-my-mummy which is affirmed beautifully with lots of loving attention.
Then whoosh.

I have had beans for breakfast
Well, actually, they were cocoa beans. And then soya beans - those So Crispy things. Didn't have time for breakfast and then had to go straight into town.
There are cold broad beans in the kitchen which I shall eat in a minute.

Guadalupe · 30/06/2008 13:35

That's a lot of beans, Toot!

I have had mackerel with lettuce coriander tomatoes and mixed bean salad with raspberry and boysenberry smoothie.

Then I am going to eat a praline flake for the stress. It will be crumbly and flaky and taste like no chocolate ever tasted before and the bath will overflow, or something.

TooTicky · 30/06/2008 13:37

I must learn to read things more carefully. I was momentarily appalled at the mackerel in your smoothie.

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 13:41

TooT I hope you are right
I want to have the baby tomorrow
I am opening like a beautiful car window

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 13:42

OP posts:
Boco · 30/06/2008 13:42

Watch out for newts on your phone Lupe.

Are you having a bean themed day Toots?

DD2 going for storytime at the nursery she'll be starting at in September. Is at the school. She's very excited, we'll only be there for 20 minutes but she's planning her wardrobe and packing a suitcase She said 'will I need to take my monkey? My hairbrush? Some books, will they have enough stories? Shall I take my slippers?'

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 13:42

Tatties, ds also perked up annoyingly!
I liked the nice quiet version

OP posts:
TooTicky · 30/06/2008 13:43

I am now eating broad beans.

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 13:43
