For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

daftpunk · 23/06/2008 09:19

hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.

i managed 6 yesterday, so doing well.

had sunflower seeds/almonds/ and avocado for breakfast.

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 09:22

hi stuffit
She was unbearable as ever, she is suited to Bognor very well

OsmosisBanana · 23/06/2008 09:27

I wish I could be bothered to post a pic of DD's pox of the chicken. It is spectacular. She has ones in the creases of her arms (which is where she scratches her ecxzema) and looks like a smack head with puncture wounds. Poor little mite.

Needless to say, can't get appt at Dr's.

Glad to have enforced week off work, house demolishing starts in a week and I have to move our downstairs, upstairs.

happy happy joy joy.

stuffitllama · 23/06/2008 09:37

euw lully
at least she's gone
that must have been hanging over you all week

ob sorry about the pox .. how old is she? at least it will be over and you won't have to worry about it again

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 09:57

Gone?
Oooooooooooh noooooooo she didn't come here thank goodness

She gets travel sick..we had to visit her in her chiming, perfumed, chintzy, nick nack & artificial flower ridden home.
You can even see the sea from her window, but it was too blowy to put her coiffed head outside the door.

So I snuck ds out for 40 mins while she was in the loo & dh was mending the video for his stepfather.

i feel picked to pieces & almost unclean
She has a very bad affect on me,her perfume is enough to induce feelings I cant cope with.I cannot bear her to touch me either......
Oh dear

OB..poor little dd
can you put anything on to soothe the itching?
Is she sleeping?

TigerFeet · 23/06/2008 10:07

Poor DD OB
I understand that putting oats into bath water can be very soothing. When dd had it I hadn't heard that tip - we were advised not to use calamine lotion as it makes the itching worse as it dries out. We just had to use bog standard moisturising lotion on her.

Is your MIL Hyacinth Bucket Lully?

2 bananas so far. Two apples and three nectarines for grazing on through the day.

womblingalong · 23/06/2008 10:08

Lully She sounds horrible, god is se really controlling in a poor litte me way? At least it is now over - can you just send DH and DS next time?

OB - Poor litte thing, have you got something to put on the pox to soothe them?

Morning stuffit, I still don't have a handle on how many children you have, sounds like hundreds sometimes!

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 10:09

I wish Tiger

More like Cruella

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 10:11

Very controlling
Very Spiteful
Very mean

disguised as a willowy blonde, heavily made up,designer clothed 'lady' that wears buckets of Poison perfume
(She is 80)

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 10:13

& because she wasn't around at all for dh( or his other four siblings throughout their childhood),dh still craves her love & approval
Which she switches on & off like a light switch

aaaagggghhhhhh

TigerFeet · 23/06/2008 10:17

grim Lully, very grim

[sticks pins in voodoo doll]

LullyOfShallot · 23/06/2008 10:21

Lol Tiger
That never seems to work

taliac · 23/06/2008 10:34

Morning veggers.

Sorry for non attendance of boot camp, spent last week rearranging the house to better accommodate 2 growing children and frantically trying to fit work in around the clearing up.

Anyway back and ready for 10/10.

Melon so far. About to go eat a banana.

Hope you are all well, about to read back to catch up.

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 11:12

Lully, she sounds hideous. Good thing she does get travel sick really.

OB, you could try rooibos/redbush tea in her bath.

Stuffit - I have girl (11), boy (9), boy (6), and girl (3 next Tuesday).
Dd1 is a tomboy - or was until v. recently, and has now discovered mini skirts
Hope the swimming trunks arrive safely!!! Surely the teachers wouldn't sit by and let him miss out though.

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 12:04

I am eating a sandwich with tomato and cucumber in it.

daftpunk · 23/06/2008 12:13

tooticky

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2008 12:16
