For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Blimey, I read Franny's post before Boco's, picked up on the "bled on pudding" and thought she'd gone into labour somewhere daft.

Boco, how did you avoid eating that?

Broad beans, carrots, cabbage, dill, strawberries. LOOK, I am reporting fruit and veg. I haven't done this for ages. Do I get a sticker?

TooTicky · 29/06/2008 23:12

Or a nice new shiny thread? This one makes my head thrum. And it's slow.
I'd do it myself but don't want to be presumptuous about titles.

stuffitllama · 29/06/2008 23:49

was hunting for a sticker for you Toot and found this for Franny

she's rather bearded for a heavily pregnant woman

am skulking rather than lurking
really really fed up with packing and neglecting the children completely worn down with ennui
I've eaten vegetables though
do water chestnuts count
goodnight all x

Morning all

Boco - an blacktie garden party? Where on earth do you live? It sounds very exotic. Glad Purple Ronnie may be useful.

I am so glad I don't live near a railway museum. The model trains at my local museum are bad enough... I do still have a lovely triangular pencil in Britsh Racing Green from the one in York.

Well done to Franny's DS for his prize-winning veg There is a cafe near here, in Humboldt, called Humboldt Pie. I thought that was quite good.

My bollock-ebbies radishes are rubbish and I don't like them so I am going to tear mine up and put them in the compost heaps. Does that help, littlerach?

Ate various F&V over the weekend (spinach, carrots, bean sprouts, water chestnuts um, other things too)

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 08:51

morning
please be presumptuous about titles, TooT, or anyone

I think ds is unwell
I am not really sure - this will sound mad but he never really gets ill - just has a sniffle and maybe grumpy for a day or something
today he says he has a sore throat and doesn't want his breakfast, and I think he might be hot, and he came down crying when he was meant to be making the beds
[stupid fuzzy head emoticon]
so he is ill, isn't he?
what happens now? he used to be poorly all the time when he was a baby but I honestly can't remember the last time he had a temperature

gah and the nanny was coming to take him out for the morning, and we have gym later, and I wanted to have the bayyyy-beee tomorrow and we will probably all get the lurrrrr-ggyyyyyyy
and he has blotchy knees, is this relevant at all???

and TooT as if I would go into labour on a PUDDING

filthymindedvixen · 30/06/2008 08:58

sorry about ds, but you know how they are at this age...probably he'll be better tomorrow...?

We must have Riders on The Corn as it has been mooted several times and the person who suggested it (FK? UR?) may feel snubbed and weep all over our nice new thread....

FrannyandZooey · 30/06/2008 08:58

oh yes we'll do that FMF
thank you

of course the new title was selected ENTIRELY ON MERIT and not because we feel sorry for you about being snubbed (and we can't even remember who you are )
