For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

evening

cabbage x 2, broccoli, corn

sorry habbibu it is lovely to see you!

TooT when was our last meet up? November or something? I expect we had better make it an annual event but I am sure you will manage to organise a select one before then

I had a bath and tried to shave my legs and did the most inept job I have ever done since I was about 12
dp came in and saw me getting out with blood literally running down my legs and he just blanched
I think he thought I was giving birth rather than just concerned about the bath mat but I didn't actually ask

dh is cooking and has just had a rant as he threw in all spincah which he knew I had got from allotment and is complaining it was all covered in mud........

FrayedKnot · 28/06/2008 20:58

Our veg box man calls him "Huge Firmly With a Tool"

Hello habbibu!

Is there some significance to the 6 month thing?

I wonder if Boco is getting drunk in a beautiful frock

TooT I used to drive a bus (I mean a big estate not a real one) and you get used to them. Would petrify me though now.

Avi I can;t imagine you swearing

FMF at least he is cooking

FrayedKnot · 28/06/2008 21:00

Franny I'm not sure I could even get in the bath at your stage let alone shave legs.

Habbibu · 28/06/2008 21:03

Hello FK - yes - long story but had a molar pregnancy diagnosed in April - hcg levels just came down to normal last week, so have 6 months before I'm allowed to try to conceive again. Went on a health bender-ish (by my standards) thing after losing dd1, and dd2 was huge and very healthy, so reckon I've got nothing to lose.
Franny - you could ask your dh to shave your legs for you! (wince emoticon). I did have beautiful ice-blue toenails courtesy of dh when delivering dd. All the midwives commented approvingly.

littlerach · 28/06/2008 21:03

Stir fry might do it..

May report back tomoroow

LullyOfShallot · 28/06/2008 21:04

hello chaps
had a lovely day,
fete, car boot where I found heaps of lovely old books & also 1940's magazines & guides(some of them are a little risque.. ) Oh one old guide to Aldeburgh...does someone here go there a lot or am I imagining that?
Dh bought ds a 1950's tin ride on tractor with trailer for £4 ,agggggghhh but we have NO room for it.
Lunch in a lovely little place in the pantiles, then farmers market, then park.
Am exhausted but happy

Glad the bag arrived Franny, was worrying it might be a little ummm busy for you.

Hello Habbibu

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for MrsC & the camper van.
Can we see a pic?

Ds very happy today..he doesn't dwell on things for long & is such a sunny little soul .His birthday is in a few weeks time & he wants it at the pottery cafe so we can have fun planning that.
I have drafted a letter to the school & am also going to write to the mother I have decided.I cannoot rest until I know why she has such a dislike of ds.

LullyOfShallot · 28/06/2008 21:06

Lol at muddy spinach fmv

Oooooh I hope Boco is having a lovely time,I love hearing about the village carry ons

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2008 21:09

Lully it is more whizzy than I would normally buy which is another reason why it is so fab
I tend to go for very plain things and then find I am looking dull

are you sure you want to write to the mother? I just think she is obviously such an insensitive troll, that further contact with her could only exacerbate things really

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2008 21:10

Boco told me the most wonderful shocking story about a man in her village

I don't expect I am allowed to repeat it on the wonderful world wide web, but let's try to get her to tell you all tomorrow when she's a bit hungover and a bit giddy from the party

OP posts:
LullyOfShallot · 28/06/2008 21:17

OOOOOOooooooh
Gwan....Boco wont mind broadcasting it to the world

The bag was a present,I bought a boring black one & then was given the OiOi by my employer & a Cath Cowboy one by a friend.V.greedy of me

I am writing a very short card to the mother because I would like to know what has happened that I am unaware of to cause such a horrid act.I shall be pleasant.

taliac · 28/06/2008 21:44

Hullo, just dropping in to say, um 7, and did you know that you can peel root ginger with a teaspoon?

You probably did being hardcore veggers.

I however, did not..

TooTicky · 28/06/2008 21:45

Lully, I am so glad ds is feeling better, I was quite worried about him. Good luck with following it through. I am half with Franny actually, think it might be a bit like picking off a scab that's not ready, but I understand why you want/need to do it. Taking a deep breath and walking away is very difficult sometimes.

I am hoping for an early night tonight. Am taking dcs up now for stories - we have just started a lovely Eva Ibbotson book

Lots of love to everybody

TooTicky · 28/06/2008 21:48

No I didn't know that Taliac. Had you run out of knives? We do regularly. We have masses of spoons but few knives.

Oh oh oh, before I go, dd2 was playing a game with ds2's dalek and Rose Tyler ..... Rose was the mummy and the dalek wanted to go to the park and was asking if it could go in a baby swing
One of those priceless moments.

Right, I'm off...

Boco · 28/06/2008 23:07

Hey veggers am back for break from party - goodness me, you'll never guess who is there - purple Ronnie! who is also Edward monkton, and the writer of many many childrens books! Everyone else is over 70 and discussing what house in Eton they were in. Apart from beautiful god son who is in white tux and is pure and pretty and from another weld.

Stopping for firework break to calm the sobbing children .

TooTicky · 29/06/2008 07:35

Sounds amazing Boco. Quite surreal.

We are going to a car boot sale. Don't know why really.

FrannyandZooey · 29/06/2008 08:10

ahhh
we have been enjoying "There's a House Inside My Mummy" very much but I am not mad about his other ones that I have read
what a surprising person to meet Boco
was he nice?

I was hoping you would tell the story about the man down the road
just what we need on a Sunday morning to brighten us up I thought

OP posts:
TooTicky · 29/06/2008 08:12

Lully, have you seen this ?

TooTicky · 29/06/2008 08:12

Oh hello Franny

ahundredtimes · 29/06/2008 08:13

Isn't it early? I am up as sending ds1 to France and ds2 to Dorset today. They are very excited, I feel a bit sick. Everytime ds2 asks ds1 about the Y3 trip to Dorset 'what do we do?' 'what does the place look like?' DS1 just talks about food. He says 'Oh it's great. You get these amazing breakfasts and at night you have hot chocolate and biscuits and Mr X reads you a funny story'. Then ds2 says 'Right, so, what did you do during the day time?' and ds1 says 'We had a packed lunch.' It is making me laugh and making ds2 frown at him like he might be mad.

FrannyandZooey · 29/06/2008 08:14

oh TooT well spotted! (the news thing, not the tummy )

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 29/06/2008 08:15

ooh 100
hope they have fun
hope you don't find it too hard

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 29/06/2008 08:16

I have read thread.

Lully - don't write the mother a letter, it's a bit odd. Next time you see her smile broadly and say, 'Now' in a firm but friendly way 'that business with the cakes. Is there some problem with ds I should know about? I thought it a very unusual thing to do, and it made me wonder whether there had been some issue between the ds's that we should try to resolve?' Then WAIT and SMILE and make sure you have a glint in your eye.

Boco - I love everything. I love the youth with blonde hair and white tux v. much. Does he have a teddy bear? Does he have a cigarette holder?

I love Lupe's camper van. I like the sound of Stiffkey too.

I love BBee.

What else?

FrannyandZooey · 29/06/2008 08:17

this being pregnant thing is getting a bit old now
am I meant to have filled in some form or something to say I am ready to have it now?
I've probably forgotten to post it

I bet it will come next Saturday when both my friend who is having ds to stay, and my doula, are away [gloom]

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 29/06/2008 08:17

you love ME of course 100
you forgot that

I don't think Lully should confront the mother
she's not a confronty sort of person and it'll upset her ds
