For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 28/06/2008 19:02

Oh poo
Perhaps we'd better start again as I think only OB and I were definite. What we need is a big bully Franny in the organisational chair.

I suppose so

Habbibu · 28/06/2008 19:54

Thank you, avi. I'm still waiting for my radishes to grow. But I love them - bought some local shop was selling which the teeny tiny primary school in the next village had grown in their garden. I want really HOT radishes - which ones does everyone think best? Have nothing in the house so I think it will have to be a pile of sweetcorn and peas from the freezer.

oh my course is good but very full on and I am knackered and jangly. Has been vey good though - very 'me'.

FK I have this lovely 70's art deco arm chair that is really knackered - I have had it all my life and my plan is to get it reupholstered when I finish in maybe green leather - but may not suit the style.

I am not fabric obsessed though.

I do love a bit of hugh in-a-thingy-do-dah whittingstall - even if he makes nonsense with radishes.

filthymindedvixen · 28/06/2008 20:12

Hugh is mine!

I am having so much fun - there are some freaking nutters online tonight...

Habbibu · 28/06/2008 20:16

Oh - thought you were talking about Hugh Laurie then, fmv. Phew. Was about to challenge you to a duel.

Bbbee · 28/06/2008 20:18

hi filth - where are the nutters.

I think hugh probably is a disappointment in RL

A ''BEWARE OF PEOPLE AT SCHOOL FETES THERE ARE PEADOPHILES EVERYWHERE'' thread...
