For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Stuffit but LOL

The things we do for our DC, eh? Poor you. I am not sure what I would have done in the same situation. I would like to think that there would have been no licking but who knows? You deserve a medal for that.

I like Slimbridge. Not that the meetup is any of my business.

OsmosisBanana · 23/06/2008 21:32

Are you a West Country dweller of yesteryear UR??

UnderRated · 23/06/2008 21:37

Only buggered? I fear I am heading for a new one.

stuffitllama · 23/06/2008 21:38

stuffitllama · 23/06/2008 21:43

night OB sleep well by the way did you get your house sorted out?

Boco · 23/06/2008 22:02

OB, Dp is a Bristolian - we went to that Noah's Ark place with mil and fil, it was the weirdest place i've ever been, it's run by creationists isn't it, with a real life model of what the ark looked like, with tiny tiny to scale cages for all the little hamsters and everything.

Can you remind me what that vegetarian place was you were talking about before?

Stuffit that's awful, what on earth possessed you to suck it?? Couldn't you have just gone home rather than suck the dog shit? You must always just go home.

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2008 22:05

I've got a big stripy tummy

like a tiger

cafe maitreya. Awesome.

Yeah, I though teh Ark place might be odd, my friend said it was great. But after this weekend I'm inclined not to trust anything she says.

An actual Bristolian.... Cripes. I thought they were mythological beasts.

Boco · 23/06/2008 22:19

Well...nearly, kind of half Polish and half Portisheadian. But lived in Bristol for years.

stuffitllama · 23/06/2008 22:36

Thanks Boco

is it moving about oddly fran doing that huge shifting from side to side that looks like a sea anenome about to go floosh into flower

had a night out in Bristol once, have several times done a run (translation: trudge with rucksack) between public transport

OsmosisBanana · 23/06/2008 22:45

Am going to add this to my list of 'notes to self

You never know when such things will come in handy.

UnderRated · 23/06/2008 22:54

Good advice, Boco

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 23:09

Stuffit, I had to read that twice. OMG. I think you deserve some kind of utter devotion award. With a daft sod award on the other side.
No, I don't actually have all that many clothes a-waiting for dd2.....

OB - yes, let's keep talking about the meet.
And did you see I suggested redbush tea for dd's bath? It is very soothing.

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 23:10

Boco, your dp is from Bristol? Did he go to school there? [desperately curious]

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 23:19

OB, I went to school with many many Actual; Bristolians

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 23:21

Yes I know there are plenty of salt-of-the-earth types, and that people often have a problem with where they went to school.
Not wishing to offend anybody etc etc.

TooTicky · 23/06/2008 23:56

Stuffit, I was hoping to email you but can't find address and inbox wiped itself recently.

6 slices of tinned peaches (cooked) at work.

I touched a bottle of juice

And sorted through the strawberries.

So, 10, I think.

IdrisTheDragon · 24/06/2008 07:06

Hello.

When did I post here last? I can't remember.

Franny, am glad you are having Energy .

I will also bear tales of What Not To Do when dog poo is touched in mind.

stuffitllama · 24/06/2008 07:32

stuffitllama · 24/06/2008 07:33

toot stuffitllama at live dot com

stuffitllama · 24/06/2008 07:42

i should have said "in terms of volume alone"
that's what i meant

pinkspottywellies · 24/06/2008 08:25

Erm, stuffit. I think it was 6 slices of tinned peaches, rather than 6 tins of sliced peaches.

Hi everyone!

Juice, pineapple, raisins. Not bad for me!
