today was ok, had a newly widdowed lady round for coffee she has just joined the WAY organization and emailed me a few times she lives very near me, it was good to feel normal IYKWIM.
Tracey has been over tonight to help me pack cos me and the kids are going to stay with a mate in bristol tomorrow until wednesday.
myself and another mate are also trying to sort out a trip to london to take the kids to see a show, we have never been to london.
i will try and post from my phone over the next couple of days.

Took ds to see a show in London last year - Lion King it was great.

Hoping you're having a good break in Bristol OJ. What show are you hoping to see in London? Wow, you've never been before? ...well I only go once every couple of years or so these days and find it hugely busy and noisy.

we are ok here in soggy Bristol, the whole house is sleeping I am tired but not sleeping, we have had a great time and been very well looked after, we went to cinema to see wall-e it was a private screening for kids with autism and the four mates I was with have kids with autism so all was ok, the kids as always have been fantastic, the girls have enjoyed everything, elliot made friends with 2boys with ASD on the park after the cinema so we had to take photos! Elliot has declared this the best six weeks holiday he ever did have!
I am driving home today we will be ok, I dreaded the trip down here but we did it

Well done oj.The kids are your focus now ( dont mean they never Was)You will be happy .They really need that and so do you.Best to get them out and about.Just such bad weather.You all deserve to be happy after the last few months.Bet mil has not got as many very good friends as you So she must have more enemys.So happy for you all that u are not so sad every day and you are meeting lifes chalengings .looking forward to seeing your happy photos on your profile.

we are back, we should have been back on wednesday, we left bristol on weds at 3.30 did ok until we got onto the M5 and was stuck there until 9pm, bad accident had closed the motorway so we went back to stay at mates house another night, finally got home yesterday.

Thoughts are still with you OJ glad you are home safe and sound!

had a migraine friday night but stopped being sick by saturday lunch time. we have been keeping busy today went out for lunch and then to see mama mia which we all enjoyed.
i am still finding weekend difficult and bank holidays are harder everywhere we look are families, Steves mum always has a bank holiday BBQ which we won't be going to, elliot has asked when we will see his gran and grandad and i am still saying that they are busy but i dont know how long i will get away with that.

OJ - I live in Key..... not Keg..... near enough to east midlands airport anyway! In the landing strip

What a beautiful couple of days weather we have just had, hope its ok tomorrow, things always seem a little easier on a sunny day, I pray for you everyday.

Our families don't get on, and my dc also pick up on this, I feel I'm cheating my way out of explanations sometimes, but further down the line I hope our dc understand that not everybody in life get on well all the time, its natural and acceptable, (especially when comfronted with your circumstances) can any of your many friends/helpers think of an acceptable explanation for this moment in time, filling in bits later, obviously without telling porkies! but protecting them from the nitty gritty crappy bits!

Glad you got back from Bristol OK in the end. Hope you managed the weekend alright too. I'm hoping to take DD2 to see Mama Mia during our "mini holiday" this week. Hope you have a good week.

Oj - haven't posted for ages - hope things are alright. It must be very hard with elliot mentioning the in laws I'm sorry they are still so difficult.

I don't want to offer any platitudes, but I'm sure when school starts the routine etc will be good for you all. A challenge, if nothing else.

my mate has breat cancer and went in for her op today, i have offered to help with looking after her keeps but not sure i can go and see her on the cancer wards where we spent so much time over teh last year thou i am sure my mate woul understand me not visting her.
i have booked a holiday today but still feel guilty about booking it, it doesn't seem fair that we are planning things without steve, i know he would want us to carry on, he told me to be happy and enjoy life but it doesnt feel right.

I'm sorry about your friend - hope she makes a speedy recovery from her op. If she's a mate, she'll understand completely.

After my best friend lost his mum, he got annoyed with people who didn't know her that well telling him 'it's what she would have wanted' about things. But you CAN feel like that - you know Steve wanted you and the kids to be happy.

anyway, no words of wisdom, just wanted to send you my best.

Jo - sorry I've been awol for so long. The holiday booking sounds good - I'm sure Steve would approve

glad to see your mum is getting better lilred.
I am having problems sleeping still, have good days and crap days I supose that is fairly normal at three months, wish we could see into the future and know how things will be.
I feel so tired all of thfe time but still can't sleep at night.

bless you for thinking of us, it went ok elliot is now a senior and looks very smart in his blazer (see profile) he said he wished his dad could see him as he would be proud, i told him he would be proud and so was i, the girls were happy to go back but abbey not happy to have a photo taken!

Hiya -so sorry I've not been in touch life has been manic, but hopefully will settle down a bit(please god) now we're all back to school.

Love the photos of your hols, and doesn't Elliott look smart & grown up in his new blazer, have the girls grown even more again?? They are all so gorgeous I bet you ARE really proud of them & Steve would be so proud of you all& how you're coping
