For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You must be tired. Sleep well.

lionheart · 14/06/2008 22:37

They make me cry too, sometimes at the strangest moments.

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 22:39

How odd, three of us! For me, it's because I associate it with my dad, who died. Haven't been brave enough to listen since, although there is sometimes a busker in local town who does a beautiful Mrs Robinson. Makes me feel v. wobbly though.

FrayedKnot · 14/06/2008 22:40

Gosh sorry I didn;t mean to make everyone sad..

It' only because PILs are still here and I have sneaked off to bed

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 22:40

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 22:45

Boco · 14/06/2008 22:47

Aw toot that's sad, they have very melancholy voices too don't they, melancholy harmonising.

It was only a slither of mango in the bed, rather than a whole one. It must have escaped from the fruit salad.

lionheart · 14/06/2008 22:54

Yes, they do, very gentle, very melancholy.

I sobbed the first time I heard Angel Clare.

It took me by surprise.

BBBee · 15/06/2008 08:37

I know I might have missed something huge - but where is ahundred?

BBBee · 15/06/2008 08:40

okay franny - this might be a bit much but when I had dd when i had a contraction i made a kind of animal 'mooing' sound (um, I am beginning to wonder how ungreat this advice is..) I had read it somewhere in a holisitc hippy birthing book and I do think it helped and I had this wonderful very expereinced midwife who said it was a good way to relax through the contraction.

I keep meaning to tell you but can't without sounding like a witch - but there you go.

FrannyandZooey · 15/06/2008 08:43

Bee she is on a self-imposed MN break so she can write the 2nd book
she has popped in once or twice only and hasn't lurked loads or namechanged for her own amusement or anything like that, not at all

yes mooing
I needed to make noises during contractions but the midwife basically said be quiet
I don't think I made any more noises until 'pushing' when they told me to start being more noisy! complete waste of time by that point

anyway
I am going to go and do cantaloupe, hope this is popular choice
