For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

"Ladygarden is all shiny and porno after waxing mission."

blimey I don't know about you ladies but this did overstep the bounds of TMI for me
I am feeling somewhat fragile tbh

we have been spoilt and cosseted by Boco who was as you said v calm Bee
MrsC overcame her headache extremely well and was on good form
the children rampaged beautifully although I am a bit worried for small Boco's bedroom after ds told me what went on in there
and I was like a giant sloth slumped on the sofa, v poor show, but they put up with me and didn't poke me with big sticks or anything
Boco's bath is fab, I was wondering whether to ask if I could get in
maybe next time

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 19:08

we have a lot of good titles to choose from there
please choose away
I must admit to being fond of alfafa garcia also but it feels like a slippery slope pinching theirs, what do you think?

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 19:09

What is Boco's bath like? [nosey]

Dd2 has been sleeping hotly in my lap for most of the day.

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 19:10

Slippery, yes, definitely.
How about one of mine?

BBBee · 14/06/2008 19:15

boco's bath is very large and free standing iirc - whcih i usually don't.

who used the alfafa garcia title?

Oooooh meet sounded lovely, glad you all had a nice day

LullyOfShallot · 14/06/2008 19:31

oooooooooh lego
ds is potty about lego
I managed to get an enormous willow basket of it from a charity shop for £5 last year

LullyOfShallot · 14/06/2008 19:33

I love our charity shops
We have had a redundant dolls house for years that dh stored all his bits n bobs in & ds has always been rueful about it's lack of occupants & furniture.
I found a large box of pintoy wooden furniture & people for £3.50..bargain.Am saving it for his birthday.

LullyOfShallot · 14/06/2008 19:34

laaaalaaaaalaaaalaaaaalaaaaa

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 20:05

this is the oddest thing but I really really want a steak
I haven't felt like this EVER since I gave up meat I think, over 20 years ago
I really really really would like to eat one
medium rare

UnderRated · 14/06/2008 20:09

"we are having lunch out and going to our castle this afternoon" FK - you sound like roaylty

I slept for 12 hours last night. Then got up, had a shower and came back to bed with tea, toast and fig rolls. And the laptop, obv. It's quite lovely!

I like Blue Swede Shoes and Riders on the Corn.

OsmosisBanana · 14/06/2008 20:10

I shall store the 'TMI' comment for later use Fran.......

Was only giving an update on my previous pruning fears.

Have been working like a demon all day.

Do you have any neighbours in your street with gert piles of tat n bricks n rubble n shit that you drive past every day shaking your headand tutting at? That was us.

DH kept making promises about some sort of skip hiring activity but then one day some pikeys cames and stole the 6ft freezer from amongst the rubbsih recycling and I have since taken it upon myself to remove the rest, tiny car load by tiny car load to the dump.

Am immensly proud. And waiting for next 'oh - do you think you're pulling your weight' type comment from DH.

LullyOfShallot · 14/06/2008 20:15

Franny,I worked for a lady who had been vegan for 18 yrs & she simply couldn'tt ignore the need to eat nearly blue steak in the last two months of her pregnancy. She was mortified

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 20:16

I never never do TMI on here
everyone always wants to know every single little detail I tell them

I am eating a bowl of raw spinach with chickpeas and cheese
then some orange chocolate MrsC gave me
and some orange juice

what are other good things for iron? I am assuming from the steak horror that I may be in need of some

LullyOfShallot · 14/06/2008 20:18

um...wholemeal bread,beans,nuts,dried apricots,figs etc

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 20:20

thanks Lully
feel a bit better actually
was probably just hungry and thirsty

ds is covered all over with little bumps
do you think it is heat rash? it was very hot indeed in the car

BBBee · 14/06/2008 20:21

had similiar cravings with ds - maybe psychosomatic thouhg.

marmite
christmas pudding

these worked for me.

only place you can get xmas pudding this time of year is fortnum and mason - text zippy she in in lonodn today!

OsmosisBanana · 14/06/2008 20:21

ok. well sorry to offend. back to my pit.

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 20:46

How about - 'I had my brazilian today, ooh it was a bit sore. I have also worked hard at the gym and eaten a large salad.'

That sort of does it. I think hearing about the shiny vagina and manky pants of anyone is Too Much Information tbh, and I don't feel in the least bit fragile. In fact I feel dandy.

I do like your title best though, the shiny shiny Velvet Underground one. Maybe we should have that a different week.

Toot - you have thought of lots, but I don't get the last one? I also think we should stick to our own titles unless we are very stuck.

Had a lovely day today, I think I was a bit manic and ran around a lot but ds2 is into everything atm. Boco's house is beautiful. I am going to buy the one next door. She will rue the day she tried to get me to move to the country.

OsmosisBanana · 14/06/2008 20:51

hmm. that could work. if only there were a large salad involved none of this would hve happened.

night.

OsmosisBanana · 14/06/2008 20:52

agree re: manky pants. was high on adrenaline i reckon.

still not taking back the shiny fanjo comment though.

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 21:00

Oh, I completely forgot to say, my food related present arrived. Hurrah!

A banquet in a box delivered to my door!! It looks amazing and completely delicious. What a treat. Thanks so much everybody, and to Franny for tirelessly sorting out the problems with the old owner.

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 21:01
