For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello Bero
Are kindergarten problems related to what you mentioned before?
Love the sound of the owls and elephants.
Be careful what you volunteer to do, it is easy to take on too much.

I can't keep up with everybody, I am too tired.

Have just eaten very healthy stew/soup thing with onion, potato, courgette, tomato, lentils, split peas, barley, garlic, parsley. Also emergency pitta-like things which were amazingly successful considering I forgot the yeast.

Lots of love to evwerybody and glad Franny is getting lovely parcels.

Avipom, when is ds's birthday? I know you've told me before. At least twice.

TooTicky · 13/06/2008 20:54

Oh, I had a parcel today - a box of samples from Lush which I have to test

Boco · 13/06/2008 20:58

Avi, no, she's married to a Tory MP.
She's a trust fund millionaire but gets called an 'eco-mum' etc, has a book, people generally objecting to her 2 home millionaire status while writing about how to be green. could be an interesting debate about actual ecological action V fashionable lifestyle choices, but I have a feeling it won't get that far.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 21:09

Bero what do I do with it? use it in a burner and put it in baths and things? I really thought my German was quite serviceable but NO
I love Weleda and citrus is my very favourite smell. I am going to save the cookies to nibble when the baby arrives, yum

Tatties · 13/06/2008 21:16

Ooh TooT Lush! Will you tell us about all the things you have to test?

Bero sorry to hear about Kindergarten problems. It's something that has to be just right too.

TooTicky · 13/06/2008 21:21

Yes Tatties
I have Ice Blue shampoo which is quite minty, Mellowmint, a pink and green bubble bar, The Wuss, wehich is a bubble bar containing coffee, cognac and pimento berry oil, and a vitamin E toner tab
Oh, and some highly scented floral perfume called Flower Market.

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 22:06

what a lovely night here have read about parcels and presents and it sounds lovely

have you gone to bed Toot I certainly hope so

i am here sort of shillyshalling about

don't you hate it when you are faffing about and you post something silly and nothing on a silly nothing thread or two and they turn into enormous hedera taking over your threads i'm on and you start having to SCROLL DOWN past all the stuff you're not interested in

well probably not probably I should get a life

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 22:07

i'm off at just gone 11 which is a triumph of self-discipline

Tatties · 13/06/2008 22:20

Night Stuffit

TooT The Wuss sounds interesting. I haven't had anything from Lush for ages. I used to love the bath bombs. And I think all the big slabs of soap look great. How did you get into testing their stuff? [nosy]

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 22:36

hi.

My good mood has finally worn off. Could be something to do with horrid traffic home (despite slinking off hour early) then horrid drive to Cribbs.

However. Have new bedlinen for SD room. I think maybe it would be better in my room nice. Tis going to be spare bedroom too as has double bed. Walls are pink, carpet will be dark grey (eventually - currently plaster covered old floorboards)

DH was non-plussed. Is it horrid? Have receipt... Needy...

pointydog · 13/06/2008 22:38

hey, veg loons. Here's bexie. She has a swede issue.

FrayedKnot · 13/06/2008 22:48

Hello

I have gone to bed

PIL and DH watching the Battle of Britain on TV

Thank the lord this is a twice yearly event.

What's going on, then? Is anyone still up?

OB how old is SD?

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 22:53

She's 9. But quite an old 9. Despite actually only turning nine a month ago!

But... the way I see it, it might be too grown up for a year or so, then will suit throughout adolescence. I still think she'll love it. V grown up with big silk emroidered lotus flowers.

Will balance out the barbie pink on the walls.

And she's only here 1-2 occasionally 3 nights a week.

I'm justifying too much aren't I?

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 22:55

have bought non matching pale valance (vile things) and pillow cases btw. Too much matching at such a young age will give her ideas above her station!!

UnderRated · 13/06/2008 23:14

I like it, OB

Toot, how did you manage to test stuff for Lush? Sounds lovely.

Bero, sorry to hear about Kindergarten worries. What a mess. Hope the weekend phone calls help to sort things out a bit. Poor DS.

Tatties · 13/06/2008 23:17

I like it OB. I was an old 9 too

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 05:16

morning all
why why am I awake and why is it so light?
i like your duvets ob especially for a teen to be. I wouldn't have anything patterned or coloured for me but they are very very groovy for your sd, especially with the silk and the pink walls. She's very lucky. You can always retreat there when she's away and stroke them.
I'm wondering how UR is as there was too much yesterday and just wondering how you are flower and what's happening.
took the boys paintballing yesterday. Very non-right-on thing to say but they are not shoot em up kids and they loved it. perhaps boys do need this every now and again.
would like to try some lush bath things. not allowed to have a bath today as the big bad wolf landlady is coming and it has to stay CLEAN (bit like my mum -- ''don't use the bathroom I've done it")
hope my dh comes home today, i'm mentally tired and need my psychological armchair
i suppose i ought to consume something other than home made latte.

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 05:25

womble have created a new email (for others too) it is stuffitllama at live dot com

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 05:44

oh my gosh am on facebook
my friend put me on there with a made up email address to force me into it and i've just dipped my toe in the water
it's just great isn't it? now what? how do i find you lot or let anybody find me? who does facebook?

UnderRated · 14/06/2008 06:11

Hello,

I'm ok, stuffit - was gloomy yesterday (ex, legal stuff, Man) but brighter today Had a lovely evening out with a friend - dinner and a movie and girly chit chat. There was lots of veg, don't worry.

I'm on facebook but with my real name so I can't say it on here. I don't really 'get' it tho and only go on to play scrabble. Or boggle.

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 07:52

Hi ur
glad you are brighter
if you want to out yourself email me
is there any more news about your future?

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 08:07

morning veg loons
pointy you are a cheeky mare

I have a very nice day coming up (I hope)
am having Aveda pedicure and then going to visit Boco hooray

plus the man emailed about MrsC's present and he said it should absolutely have been sent; there were solicitors involved

no breakfast yet
must go and wash hair
TooT Ice Blue is very nice indeed, it makes your head all cold
I can't use their hair stuff now as with 99.99% of all other hair products it makes my scalp die, but Rehab and Retread are also fab if you have big hair in need of love and attention

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 08:09

obviously we know MrsC's thing should have been sent
I meant he says it HAS been sent to the best of his knowledge
yesterday

FrannyandZooey · 14/06/2008 08:27

you know it's probably time for a new title
pointy have you any suggestions? [hard stare]

FrayedKnot · 14/06/2008 08:58

Morning

This MNing from bed is a great idea.

Not sure why I didn;t think of it before.

Glad you had a nice evening UR

OB purple is probably a good colour. We painted SD's bedroom a really lurid shade of purple when she was about 11...it went down really, really well.

at pedicure, hope the Bocos and Frannies have a lovely day

I am lounging because MIL doesn;t get up 'til about 10 (the one small bonus) and DH is sorting FIL out. And we are having lunch out and going to our castle this afternoon.

I may have mango and strawberries for breakfast
