For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

er i mean a swimming costume, not dressing up as a clown or something

BBBee · 14/06/2008 21:07

lol stuffit - i like that child. what was the costume and did the child specify.

Boco · 14/06/2008 21:17

Hello, had a lovely day with the franzos and carrots. DD just called me upstairs because she had found mango in her bed, sure sign of a vegger visit. Took MrsC on a 1950's themed wicker village tour culminating in 24 baby chicks which was nice.

Dp is away tonight, I quite enjoy the house to myself thing, am looking forward to a really peaceful nights sleep with no kicking. (but of course look forward to seeing him tomorrow)

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 21:18

hi bbeee how are ya
he didn't specify so i chose my turquoise bikini
Lord Ds3 then consented to my company
it's just so much easier to wash his hair when I'm in with him, he has rather a lot

he wouldn't do well in a 10 10 commune, he would run away aghast

stuffitllama · 14/06/2008 21:19

mango in bed is surreal
that sounds like an excellent day

UnderRated · 14/06/2008 21:34

LOL @ wearing a costume in the bath

I jsut came back from my garden wuith arms full of rhubarb, spinach and a variety of lettuces. And piles of mint. Must deal with it.

littlerach · 14/06/2008 21:45

I like riders on the Corn.

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 21:54

stuffit - I also had visions of fancy dress costumes, you sat in your bath with a bo-peep outfit on, or maybe looby loo.

Riders on the corn is good too.

I think Boco planned the 1950's country walk. There was barely a car except for some old banger and the birds tweeted on the rooftops and some children called our girls up a hill to play ring a ring o roses and then we were taken in to see chicks and then a dog ran up the road with a string of sausages in its mouth while a butcher chased it. Okay that last bit wasn't true.

Very idyllic place though. I had country envy. Dh wants to move anyway so he was pleased. We will see.

Boco · 14/06/2008 21:55

Oooh there's a really big thunder storm here! I like storms, generally, but then it occurred to me that if the lights go out I don't know how to do the fuse box thing - it's not just a switch on ours, you have to do something ....[girly emoticon]

Boco · 14/06/2008 21:56

The ring a ring o roses was totally staged, did you see me slip those children a fiver to spend on cider?

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 22:02

No, but it doesn't surprise me. The woman coming to the park was too good to be true though. There felt like there was some kind of PLAN. Arrrrrgh, maybe you trying to get me to come and join in with the wicker village ways.

lionheart · 14/06/2008 22:04

Hello everyone.

Have had a good 10/10 couple of days and went swimming.

Would really appreciate your advice on warding off demons (thread in philosophy) ... DS is scared.

Thank you, oh seedful one.

I'm a bit peeved about it really, what with this being 2008 and not 1508.

Guadalupe · 14/06/2008 22:11

lolol at high priestess - they did want a lot of chickens didn't they?

Avi - it was a menu for a box to be sent

IdrisTheDragon · 14/06/2008 22:16

I think 32 must be the cumulative age of stuffit's children.

DH's granny must have a rather large cumulative age of children. She is 97 and her children are somewhere around 73, 69, 64 and 61, giving her a cumulative child age of 267.

Mine is 6

IdrisTheDragon · 14/06/2008 22:17

I just had some raspberries. They were lovely

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 22:25

I had one raspberry from the garden today. I don't expect to get many as ds2 eats them green. Ditto teeny apples, unripe gooseberries and crunchy blackberries. It seems he has very adaptable bowels.

MrsC, my last title was Smoke gets in your Eyes. Yes, I know it was rather tenuous.

Avipom, if we had a south coast meet Lionheart might come....

Boco · 14/06/2008 22:27

Avipom sounds like some kind of heartburn medication.

I know it's not ours but Alfalfa!

FrayedKnot · 14/06/2008 22:28

Evening

The wicker village day out sounds as if it went well

TooT I don;t think so. Mostly down to difficulties in taking anymore time off work now than already planned this year, and cost involved ..it's quite a long haul from our neck of the woods.

Am lying in state in bed again, softly humming

'Hello Mumsnet my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again'

Of thread titles..Riders on the Corn, Artichoke Gets In Your Pies, and ...er...that other one

TooTicky · 14/06/2008 22:31

Oh don't! Simon and Garfunkel make me cry

Sorry you can't make meet up. We must have another large one when Franny is transportable again. I notice she is capable of cavorting around the east of the country thou, hiding mangoes in people's beds and inspecting baths.

UnderRated · 14/06/2008 22:33

Me too, Toots. And now I have simon and garfunkel going round in my head

I'm going back to bed now
