For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OOh, Franny, glad it arrived. If you'd like to, open the parcel now, see if you like it. I am convinced you will fit into the tops, that belly is all baby, and the tops are very flattering to BF norkage and slightly wobbly post partum tum

BBBee · 13/06/2008 17:59

oh i am glad there are some also not bothereders on here. burgers are good if you go them at home and they think it is a treat but it is really quite healthy - well in my book. So are jacket otatoes.

womblingalong · 13/06/2008 18:51

Oh connected to the interweb on a boat, how exciting! Did you see my question further down FMF?

(Sorry Fran, the rest of my last post should read, and the same top fitted them both!

UnderRated · 13/06/2008 19:25

lol @ OBs $60 'find'

I think I may be premenstrual too - that Lion Reunion video made me cry yesterday.

DS and I had fun downtown but he's going through a not listening phase and also running away which meant I brought him home sooner than I hoped. Was fun though.

Portobello mushroom, pesto (I think it should count), red peppers, lemon so far

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 19:38

I am excited mainly Bee
I feel a lot better than I have done for about a month, which is a good start
we have got lots of stuff ready which also helps you feel a bit 'oooooh'
and ds is very excited and cute about the whole thing

wombling we have all admired it here
ds said "awwwwwwwwww"

I fancy UR's mushrooms with pesto, that sounds good

grapes and an apple here = 10

UnderRated · 13/06/2008 19:41

Glad you're excited, Franny

I'm eating chocolate digestives. My Dad brought them.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 19:42

nice Dad

Tatties · 13/06/2008 19:49

Oh Avi sorry How are you?

Wombling's baby top sounds gorgeous (I didn't know you were a knitter?!)

FrayedKnot · 13/06/2008 20:06

Hello

PILs are here. Am lying on bedroom floor with clandestine laptop.

Step-MIL has bought a horrible incredible hulk type monster toy for DS with a weapon

Last time it was a remote cntrol car. He is 4.

Less than 48 hours to go

Will try to catch up later when I have "gone to bed"

Tatties · 13/06/2008 20:10

LOL FK at 'clandestine laptop'
You have my sympathy

UnderRated · 13/06/2008 20:11

lol @ surreptitious interwebbing

Good luck, FK

pinkspottywellies · 13/06/2008 20:30

Raisins, apple juice, biscuits banana, peas, salad, jamrolypolyandcustard lentil bolognese. Useless and not even full portions. Work is not good for me.

FMF you sound sooo glamorous with your WiFi on your boat!!

I'm going to bed in a minute. I'm sooo tired. I was up late getting bags/lunches/clothes ready for today, then dd woke up at 5 screaming her head off. Obviously she would pick the day I was working! I can't believe some people manage to do actual, real jobs. Every day!

berolina · 13/06/2008 20:39

hello

glad they arrved Franny. It is Weleda essential citrus oil (it was that one, wasn't it? There were so many lovely ones in the shop) - famed to be both relaxing and invigorating. The biscuits are organic spelt wheat.

Kindergarten stresses. Keyworker looked awful when I picked up ds1 today she and the other one would ideally start their own kindergarten with the children from 'their' group but need parents' backing. dh is going to phone round the parents at the weekend. Whatever, we are removing ds1 - feel very betrayed that we knew nothing of all this stuff going on. Went to look at another kindergarten today. Nice enough, very nice friendly clearly experienced teacher with lots of ideas, but somehow no feeling of 'yes I want him to go here'.

Took boys to a music shop/instrument repair shop shop near us. ds1 had a lovely time blowing into carved owls an elephants to make hoots and trumpetings.

Work. Muggins agreed to write sthg for free as a favour. It is a biggish thing and not even exciting.
