For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Goodness where do you 'find' 2k that you don't know you have? I'm off to tear open the settee.

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 14:44

I once found £60 I didn't know I had. I was pretty chuffed with that.

Well, I say 'found' and 'I'. It was in DH's trousers which had been through the wash.

He didn't miss it, so obviously was meant for me.

OB

littlerach · 13/06/2008 14:48

Thansk FMV.

Bongo looks good.
Where are you planning to go first?

fullmoonfiend · 13/06/2008 14:48

It was in an isa which we thought we had emptied out 6 months ago when we were in dire needs..
But apparently we didn't empty it out!

Tatties · 13/06/2008 15:02

Hello

Guad (am I allowed to call you Mrsc?) - things are going fine. I reckon I've got another week of hard work then everything will be sorted. How are you now?

Stuffit I LOVE LOVE LOVE pyjamas. I put them on at the earliest possible opportunity of an evening. And I generally don't wear a bra at home either

TooT I was also in bed early(!) by 10.30 last night, and I felt strangely refreshed this morning too (bedtime has been mostly after midnight this week...)

OB I have had bikini waxes before which I have found ok [high pain threshold] but never a brazilian though... Good luck with it! Could do with a bit of deforestation myself atm...

UR hope you and ds had a nice time today

Franny! Your pictures are gorgeous!

I am premenstrual and as usual waiting until the full moon is a bit closer before it starts.

I am sure I have missed some people but hugs to you all

Tatties · 13/06/2008 15:04

Wow look at your lovely bongo FMF

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 15:05

Mrs C - I know. Bad. Was about 5 years ago now though.

In fairness I was running 2 of his business and not getting paid! I did tell him after I'd spent it. He laughed.

Tatties · 13/06/2008 15:26

Spoke too soon, period has just started. Bugger. That is bad timing. Obviously my need to sychronise with you lot is stronger than the force of the moon

talilac · 13/06/2008 15:38

Okay this is getting weird now with the 10/10 sync-ness. Its probably all the f/v bringing us into harmony with Mother Nature or something.

Hiya all, I am on deadline here (okay, past deadline in fact) so not much from me today inc f/v. oh i dunno, some parsnips peas and sweetcorn so far at lunch, and raspberries after. I'll go eat my bodyweight in fruit when I'm done, promise.

Congrats on the Bongo FMF, and on the 2K.

Hope you are all having a lovely day. x

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 15:43

mine has stopped again thank god.

fullmoonfiend · 13/06/2008 16:10

oh to counteract all my friday 13th nice things happening, we havejust had the dmission form for ds's secondary school...oh I feel sick! Our options are really really manky awful comp 2 mins away or mediocre comp 3 miles away. T'ain't no choice at all

littlerach · 13/06/2008 16:14

Ours will be equally bleak, FMF.
At least it isn't for another 4 years.
All 3 local are as "satisfacoty" as the others. And fill me with dread ot think of either of the girls going there.

I was in synch, but seem to have gone skew wiffy and am about 1 week behind you lot.

Indian t/away tonight
But what to have.
Decisiosns decisosins.

I thought the live chat with that nutritionist woman was fairly excruciating, but this Sheherezadehezade Goldsmith one looks set to be a bloodbath.

Avi, are you going to ask her environmental questions?

Guadalupe · 13/06/2008 17:29

Great.

Ds2 has just choked on soome apple skin on the white sofa. He had recently eaten spinach and swede in his shighchair with his bib. It's not pretty.

Sigh.

BBBee · 13/06/2008 17:33

hello

all different names - i feel like i am crashing the party!

we are having boiled eggs for tea. i can;t be bothered.

Guadalupe · 13/06/2008 17:35

hello, flighty buzzy creature, how are you?

I am MrsC, and yes please do still call me that if you like, Tatties. I can be both, no?

I am cooking them jacket potatoes as I can't be bothered either but I am eating tapas later with a friend.

Boco · 13/06/2008 17:36

I am still the same.

V un-10/10 dinner of burgers. (in wholemeal bun with salad)

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 17:55

Evening all

cabbage, broccoli, sweetcorn, orange juice - that's 8 so far
am going to have another fruit binge shortly I think

Parcels were collected! thank you Bero, I haven't tried them on yet but very kind of you. Thanks also for treats - I don't know what the little tube is, my German has abandoned me!

Wombling thank you very much also - the idea of ever fitting in one of those tops is quite funny at the moment but I suppose I won't always be the size of a bus? Or will I? I haven't opened the little parcel yet, was that right?

the other parcels were:
some dolls nappies from eBay
a book from eBay
some free light bulbs
a bike part for dp

Bero's and Wombling's were by far the nicest

ds came out with classic today
we were in town and I was getting tetchy as were (I noted) many other women with young children - it was that time of day
I said to ds "lot of grumpy mummies in town today" and he said in tones of absolute outrage "I KNOW and I cannot BELIEVE their BEHAVIOUR "

Boco are we coming to see you tomorrow? Should I gather from your non-emailingness that perhaps we are uninvited?

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 17:58

blimey avi how much was the postage? don't answer if too nosey
I am obsessed by how much things cost to post

8.5 k of lego a fab present IMO
