For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 22:06

our laptop is having issues.

Have been trying to commune with the veggers to no avail.

Pute is however allowing me to try to mock cod (go to bed) on a tattoo thread.

pinkspottywellies · 12/06/2008 22:07

Oh my God. I'm working tomorrow and I have to get ready to go (dressed, washed, breakfasted, bag ready) and get dd ready for the childminder (see above) and both get out of the house by 8.30. That's am! [alien concept]

Better get off here and get bags packed and go in the shower!

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 22:08

Thanks

Lucy, who are you?

FrannyandZooey · 12/06/2008 22:12

I have eaten so much pineapple it has taken the skin off the roof of my mouth. Ouch.

womblingalong · 12/06/2008 22:13

More gnashing here UR, but you already know you hae done the right thing.

Lully! you are here!

FRanny - nice bump/scan pic

FMF - How groovy is your bongo!

OB, you need to come and strim my garden, it is awful, I need help.

Have been running around like a mad person recently, have no energy to tackle my tip of a house, must also do ironing, I hate it all ATM. It is like the Forth bridge, it never ends. I am ignoring and escaping to MN for a while.

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 22:22

Whoop whoop! More strmming?!

Guadalupe · 12/06/2008 22:26

Very good Califrau, caped invader.

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 22:30

Oh, Lully!

Does anyone freeze bananas or is it just a weird American thing?

pointydog · 12/06/2008 22:38

Do you speak to Bexie on here?

She has excellent credientials, eats a shed load of veg, including three or four swedes (larger than butternut squash) a week.

She could inspire you.

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 22:50

No Thyme for losers, cos swedes are the champignons

pointydog · 12/06/2008 22:51

where's Boco? Hope she is ok...

peaches, pineapple, banana, raisins. A good 4.

FrannyandZooey · 13/06/2008 08:26

oh

right the people who were doing MrsC's present seem to be a bunch of dilletantes and shysters, but they have been bought out by a very nice man called Simon, who is going to put everything right despite being left in the shite by the nasty ones. I really think he will do it. The other stuff was all a load of bull I reckon but I think we can trust Simon. He says he will restore our faith in human nature.

Tatties · 13/06/2008 08:42

Ah Franny I had been wondering about that. I hope it turns out alright.
I have been neglecting you all this week, but I have lots of fruit it my fridge

berolina · 13/06/2008 09:00

Good morning.
Apple banana peach.
Rain here. Finally. It hadn't rained for about 4 weeks.

Aaaaargh. ds1's (parent-initiative co-oppy) kindergarten in meltdown. Serious differences in the staff team that everyone has been keeping from the parents and now ds1's 2 (fantastic) keyworkers are leaving dh came home from a three-hour parents' meeting last night with various bombshells. So we are pulling ds1 out, talking to other parents about possibly starting a new one with the 2 keyworkers and looking round for another one in case it doesn't work out (probable). And am going away on Monday - to my parents - another big issue in itself. I do not need this.

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 09:19

That sounds like a complete pitfa. I would be apopleptic. TBH it doesn't take much.

I have had nothig to eat yet. Not good. If it gets to this stage without food I tend to rely on diet coke till lunch. Badness.

I managed to get DH to let me put moisturiser on his face last night. He is starting to look very uh craggy. I have been dispatched with £40 to buy him the 'bloke version' of my magic potion so he must think it worked.

Ha! Now off to buy him a £5 put of nivea and buy a new bikini with the change

Morning all,

Sorry to hear about your issues with DS1's childcare Bero. That Neutrogena comfort balm is good and cheap OB.

Guadalupe · 13/06/2008 09:31

lol at Mr Avi talking ladygardens. What on earth could he have been saying about it over dinner?

Hello, Tatties - you haven't been around much lately, how are things?

Mango. Again. I am actualy getting a little bored of mangoes. I can't beleve it.
