For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Aha! I was hoping a ladygarden convo would come up.

I have found a new way to fritter away DH's cash.

He won't let me spend money at the mo due to going to uni soon. But I have discovered if it is on things that make me look better he is happy to hand over the moolah.

So, have brazilian pain booked for tomoz after gym session with BF AND spray tan on Weds (I don't go brown ever and am scared of looking like white, flabby, under cooked sausage at surf fest)

Wish me luck with the fanjo lady.

I am so vain, it's really very bad indeed. Well, I say vain, I'm too lazy to be truly vain as I don't do much about it, just worry about it.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/06/2008 10:42

Hello. I have some lurgy thing.

I am hopeful of Simon's usefulness.

DD is making "the tallest little tower in the world"

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 10:53

good luck with the fanjo lady

morning all

but ds 3 to his mate yesterday

"what would you rather be -- a window or a fence?"

it's a damn shame we ever get older than nine

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 10:55

I cried in his trumpet lesson yesterday

he was playing "bright eyes" to the piano and he was basically turning into an exploding blueberry but giving it his all

i think you have all made me pre-menstrual

IdrisTheDragon · 13/06/2008 10:57

I would like to pluck up the courage to go to a fanjo lady. I do not have a lady garden, it is a lady forest.

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 11:03

Is it the pain
for me it's the pain
my friend had hers individually lasered -- she said it was eye-watering

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 11:11

Greenpeace would have you for deforestation Idris, then you'd be in a whole heap of trouble.

You would think evolution would have given up with hairs on women's bodies. Surely they serve no purpose now? What with baths n stuff.

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 11:46

LOL! Was wondering where everyone was but you're all on the same post elsewhere showing off about your amazing breakfasts!

TigerFeet · 13/06/2008 11:51

I had my fanjo waxed once. Never again I tell ya. Now I just trim off the excess with a strimmer clippers and neaten at the edges with a razor. Sometimes.

Amazing breakfasts? I had a slice of toast.

F&V taken a downturn recently. But I did roast some veg and eat it with pasta.

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 12:51

What do you do TF? What does 'something dull to do with food labelling' mean?

TooTicky · 13/06/2008 12:56
stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:22

what an amazing lunch Toot do you have lunch like that everyday ? how are you sleeping?

have spent all week cleaning house for landlady, it's so clean it's like somebody else's house deadline 2pm

just realised it's tomorrow not today and i have to keep the house like this for 24 hours

oh dash it

TooTicky · 13/06/2008 13:25

Erm, no. Tart is leftover from yesterday and not popular with children for some reason.
I went to bed "early" last night (well, 10.30ish) and feel partly restored. Need a couple more good sleeps!

How are you?

fullmoonfiend · 13/06/2008 13:26

did I mention we have a bongo??

Terrible F&V so far so I shall say what I ate yesterday as that is more impressive.
Melon, banana, lentil and tomato soup, seeds, stirfry with mizuna and other oriental greens, peppers, mushrooms, carrot, beansprouts. And home-made elderflower cordial!

Oh and when we were raiding the piggy banks to pay for bongo we found an extra £2k which we thought we had spent but hadn't
how the hell did that happen in a house where we have been borrowing children's pocket money to pay milk bill

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:28

I'm fine though not bursting with vegetableness.. cooking has gone out of the window a bit. I mean the children always get their proper food but I just carry on with bread and butter and cups of milk.

Husband away all week in Ireland -- I hope he comes home. He said if they vote no he might have to stay beyond Saturday.

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:29

Which they have.

for more sleep -- I think 1030 is early too. It's a huge treat to go to bed at 10 with a book isn't it?

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 13:29

I think it's going to sart chucking it down here any moment now. I really wanted nice weather this weekend and feel ridiculously cheated that it isn't going to be.

I'm going to go outside a shake my fist at the sky lie a little old lady. Do you think it will have much effect?

I am going to investigate matalan tomorrow. I have never been there and am intrigued. I suspect i will not like it.

I have to drive to Cribbs Causeway Mall after work tonight which is tricksy. I only know how to get there from home so might have to drive home first... Somewhat long winded. Isla has trashed my A-Z thankfully so I don't have to try and decipher that.

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:30

fmf congrats on your bongo -- i got a big shock when I opened the link and found it to be a vehicule and not a musical instrument

but it did explain the ecstasy and excitment

lol at 2,000 at least it wasn't the other way round

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 13:31

I'm intrigued Stuffit. What is he doing over there?

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:31

ob why don't you click on the michelin website it will give you directions not just a map

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:31

stuffitllama · 13/06/2008 13:32

bugger off the lot of you it's not me

OsmosisBanana · 13/06/2008 13:33

I know many hippy types who rave about bongos. I always know they've had too much rough cider when the competitive photos of bongos come out.

I'm sure yours is lovely though fmf. Even if you are a hippy.

fullmoonfiend · 13/06/2008 13:33

OB - Matalan is awful aand fantastic at the same time IYKWIM. I have some fabulous bargains from there and it is excellent for children's clothes.

TigerFeet · 13/06/2008 13:34

What's your dh doing in Ireland Stuffit? [nosey]

OB I work for a food production company (most un 10/10 but we do make houmous [vindicated]). I look after legal and technical approval of the food labels, proof reading the content etc. It is deadly dull at times but it pays the bills and fits in round DD.

A vehicular bongo? How intriguing. Is it like a camper van?
