For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 00:19

Did I miss you Toot?

TooTicky · 12/06/2008 00:21

No, I'm still here

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 00:23

It's v late - are you ok?

TooTicky · 12/06/2008 00:25

Yeah, I'm okay. Don't know why I'm still up really, except I've resigned myself to not actually getting enough sleep no matter what I do

What did you want to know about little boys?

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 00:27

Oh, it was a penis pulling question. DS has manhandled his too much and it looks v red and blotchy. I wasn't sure what to do (if anything).

Sorry if TMI

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 00:28

Not sleeping well is horrible Toot. Especially when it is largely out of your control. I sympathise.

TooTicky · 12/06/2008 00:31

I'd imagine it would settle down within a day or so. Baths with or without lavender oil may help.
Boys are quite rough with their bits sometimes, aren't they?

I really ought to go to bed, this is silly.
Take care

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 00:32

Goodnight

Will try Lavender oil tomorrow, thanks

FrannyandZooey · 12/06/2008 07:58

morning chaps
pineapple, strawberries, raisins, peach (hard), banana
4.5

busy day here
it's raining again
on the whole I feel much better though and can sometimes walk like a normal 8 month pg person not a 20 month pg person with a dodgy pelvis
how can SPD possibly have improved? TooT? Avi? any ideas? do you think it was just giving up work, maybe that was inflaming it all the time? it did always feel worse afterwards

littlerach · 12/06/2008 08:20

Rained lots here lat night.

Dh came in at 12.30am and said there was a naarmy of snails marching across the front garden.

In dd2's preschool today.
And it is PE.
Not a good thought!!

FrannyandZooey · 12/06/2008 08:23

blimey a naarmy of snails!
scary stuff

berolina · 12/06/2008 08:36

Morning. I am back. I still have stuff to do but not quite so much, and I miiiiiissed you. Plus, she said selfishly, I am going to need Moral Support in the extremely near future.

TooT, hope you got to sleep. Will email you later, and UR Franny, that is an amazing bump . I take it those dresses I sent are no good. Hope the treats were good though.

Apple, banana. We had the most wonderful pumpkin soup (dh made) yesterday and I am already looking forward to the leftovers.

Boco, well done on he driving. I will have to learn at some point in the next few years - currently we are car-free and hapüpy, but our circumstances will change at some point -, and really don't want to. You are an Inspiration.

berolina · 12/06/2008 08:39

Oh, I like hapüpy. Sounds like a German-coined anglicism, which are amusing. They say Handy (pronounced hendy) for mobile phone. And Happy (pronounced heppy) End instead of happy ending. When you tell them it's happy endING they don't believe you.

stuffitllama · 12/06/2008 08:50

Morning all hi Bero long time no ding dong how are you, sorry to hear you will be in need of moral support

Good news about the Fran scan. Your bump is fab, esp when compared to the rest of you. It's like you've got a big globe up your top.

Read with interest 100s namechanging antics, i saw hjikjl and thought it was a Swedish new person

Toot I hope you get lots of sleep, is sofa sleep during the day any good?

Ds 3 was asking why his willy is red at the end yesterday. I asked if it hurt, or if he felt poorly, and he said no i'm just interested. So I think there may have been some pulling going on there too. I've put it off until dh comes home, i don't know much about willies and dh always says "oh that's fine" whenever I bring something up.

crap f & v. Some. But crap.

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 10:22

goddam it. Typed really long boring post about my tremendous exercising / gardening efforts and then scurried off to look at other threads and forgot to post it.

Hi bero, love hapupy, especially with an umlaut (sp?) May have to work that into vocab.

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 13:02

where is everyone?? are you having a secret meet without me??

am eating freshly made Fresh n Wild Guacamole with fresh salsa on Dr Karg roasted onion crisp breads. V good. Lacking in salt though. But then I find salt sometimes a bit lacking in salt!

Oh, thought of another thread title. Set to the wurzels 'I am a cider drinker'

I am lentil eater, i eats em all the day, I am a lentil eater, soothes all my troubles away. Oooh ar oooh ar ooh ay.

Or summat.

stuffitllama · 12/06/2008 13:08

hi am fleetingly here before taking decanting a large number of cunting apples and pears into a black bag from the boxes in the cellar

have eaten spicy kidley beans

i like your title, it reminds me of my current favourite joke I HEARD ON MN

why are pirates called pirates? because they aaaarrrr
have told you all this before i'm sure but it is my favourite

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 13:16

Can't beat a bit of wez cunry japery.

Plus the wurzels are BCFC's mascot type thingys. That and a robin.

Why a robin? Not the most dynamic / terror inspiring of creatures. But then, nor are BCFC.

Sorry forgot where I was for a moment.

FrannyandZooey · 12/06/2008 14:09

god I am tired
ds is at nursery and I couild fall asleep, just like that [asleep icon]
but have to pick him up in 1 hour, that isn't long enough is it

Bero I haven't any dresses here yet
they may well be one of the 6 parcels that are awaiting my pick up at the post office
the postie hides round the corner until I go out and then sticks a card through the door I am sure
the other week, I asked dp to drive me to the depot to pick some parcels up, and when we got back they had stuck 2 more cards through the door while we were out
I got a card today saying he tried to deliver 4 parcels! i think he makes half of them up for a laugh

UnderRated · 12/06/2008 14:30

Thank you for the willy help, stuffit and Toot - it looks much better this morning. I grew up with girls so don't know anything about these things. This is where I need a man around!

No F&V but it's breakfast time.

Off out for a while now.

Hope everyone is ok. Nice to see Bero back

stuffitllama · 12/06/2008 15:38

Willies are a very mysterious area. One of my boys had balanitis and boy, does that look scary. You think it's going to drop off, and their lives will be ruined, and they're going to get septiceaemia, well I do anyway. Dh is robustly sanguine about the whole business thank goodness.

stuffitllama · 12/06/2008 15:39

Franny what a lot of parcels! What a pita about postie, do you think he's that fed up with delivering them he leaves them at the sorting office. Are they baby parcels, birthday presents, Amazon?

OsmosisBanana · 12/06/2008 16:01

are folk around again?? I've been very lonely and having to read other posts about nowt interesting.
