For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Avi, it is only because I am so jealous about your strawberries that I feel able to point out that you spelt appallingly with an l missing when you were talking about spelling

I have walked five or six miles but not eaten much.
I have planted vegetable seeds though. Do they count? [hopeful]

Cobngraats on strawberries from Garden

Sorry for odd dreams and driving instructors.

How was the scan?

I always post the way cod hates - sepaprate paragrpahs for different people. Otherwise I ignore everyone and witter on about myself

3 chocoalte digestives & a packet of crisps

first period since 2005, Toot?

I'm not sure what the appropriate word would be - congrats?

TooTicky · 11/06/2008 15:54

No, that was Talilac's period. I am synchronised with her though - anybody else?

TooTicky · 11/06/2008 15:55

Where is this thread you all keep alluding to?

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 15:59

OH, Talilac, not toot. Mine is due next week. But that could mean September.

No idea where thread is.

I should go. DS is watching television

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:00

I put nailvarnish on the other day and did my cuticles too. Fist time ever.

Lucky I've had so many well heeled and groomed guests round to observe my strimming isn't it?

I'm feeling quite random today.

talilac · 11/06/2008 16:09

Yes, first pg with DD1, then bf, then pg with DD2, then bf. Its a bit of a shock tbh.

Thread is here and really very funny. FWIW, I don't think Cod really dislikes the way we talk, shes just got a keen eye for a good thread topic..

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 16:09

I never do my finger nails but my toe nails are always painted - I feel a bit naked otherwise. I did mine last night. Am probably not very stylish though. I never know what colour I 'should' use

fullmoonfiend · 11/06/2008 16:09

Franny, we love sharing your pg stuff, really we do!

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:11

Mine are silver at the mo to go with shiny shiny, shiny shoes of lentils. I mean birkenstocks. Ooohhh.. Noticing a possible thread title coming along there. Needs some work mind.

I've had the bloody velvet underground in my head all day.

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:12

I know! Shiny shiny, shiny shoots and lentils!

Oh alright, it's shit.

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 16:17

I don't get it, OB

Mine are often silver too.

I'm feeling self concious now because I know people are lurking. I feel I should have something fascinating to say but... well, this is me.

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:24

It's from 'shiny boots of leather' by velvet underground. The song title might actually be something else but that's the main lyric.

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 16:29

Oh, I know nuffink about Velvet Underground

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:34

Tsk tsk.

An essential part of anyones musical / cultural education. So my father tells me.

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:40

I need to kill half an hour without being spotted for doing nothing.

I wonder what I shall do....

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 16:47

I will endeavour to educate myself on Youtube tonight, OB.

30 mins looking busy. Is that not what MN is for? ("I'm looking for a recipe")

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:49

exactamundo. It is also the way I have spent the last 7 hours. Except for the 30 mins I had for lunch. See earlier moany post.

UnderRated · 11/06/2008 16:50

Bugger - DS has discovered Sesame Street and is now glued to the screen. I could be a good mother and prise him away to do something wholesome like picking veg in the garden or I could take advantage...

I wouldn't mind but they sing all of the nursery rhymes wrong - the Itsy Bitsy spider...

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:54

are you mad? take advantage. get a g & t and pretend to garden. Oh.. what time of day are you on... Nope, it still stands, get a G & T and pretend to garden.

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:55

3 mins to go - whoop whoop.

Oh... yeah... still have 1.5 hour walk home.

OsmosisBanana · 11/06/2008 16:56

laterz potaterz

Guadalupe · 11/06/2008 17:07
