For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

rofling my first rofl for quite some time

i've decided to call this phase of my life my "windowlene" period

it's decidedly unfilfulling

FrannyandZooey · 10/06/2008 21:27

oh man
a windowlene phase
that's grim

stuffedaubergine · 10/06/2008 21:31

pinkspottywellies · 10/06/2008 21:57

4th July, Girl, 8lb 3oz, named Liberty for American Independence Day

Rubbish f&v intake and went shopping instead of running [rubbish]

Having people round tomorrow night so I'm doing Mexican food - chilli, fajitas, nachos, rice, guacamole, potato wedges, refried beans, sour cream,

pinkspottywellies · 10/06/2008 21:58

Oh DH thinks our thread title is rubbish. He clearly has no sense of humour and is an arse

TheMangoWhoKnewTooMuch · 10/06/2008 22:01

Hullo

We did yoga ina different studio tonight with mirrors, which was decidedly not nice.

I don;t know how I managed to guess your due date, I thought I was guessing two days later...

But anyway, I am sticking with July 4th.

Why did DS need to go ina trolley at all?

I am kind of browfurrowingly sympathetic...it does all sound quite peculiar.

Stuffit, why are you cleaning at 10pm (11pm?)...is it part of moving?

stuffedaubergine · 10/06/2008 22:33

hi

Mexican food sounds fab.

Dad gone & I'm worn out.

Everyone ok?

Sorry for homebirth problems, Franny.

UnderRated · 10/06/2008 22:58

Oh, hibiscus flowers. But they are candied so prbably don't count. But I'm going to count them anyway [cheat]

stuffedaubergine · 10/06/2008 23:02

hi UR what's your news?
I'm all confused.. and have made a
I thought mango was you and now i'm covered in embarrassment

talilac · 10/06/2008 23:04

Lots of walking today as I had a work lunch to go do. So thats good.

But it was sushi and while delicious did not do great things for the 10. I did my best, got a melon pack for the tube on the way home but really the horse had bolted.

Soo strawberries, juice, banana, melon, tomato pasta sauce. A pathetic 5.

Waves to Cod who is bound to be lurking.

zippitippitoes · 10/06/2008 23:04

candied hibiscus dlofers they sound lovely in the olden days when i ahd a garden i ahd hibscus in it

where do you think i should fly nto ur

OsmosisBanana · 10/06/2008 23:13

Have read nothing yet but Zips! You're here! You should see my herculean effort with my 'garden' earlier! I almost posted a b4 and after pic just for you to tell me how shit / not shit I am.

UnderRated · 10/06/2008 23:17

lol stuffit, I'm just me I'm afraid. Don't know who mango is actually so I'm equally

Why are you flying zippi? Haven;t read whole thread so have little idea what is going on...

OB, any effort in a garden is to be applauded. Well done.

OsmosisBanana · 10/06/2008 23:20

Can't be dealing with reading all since 4:00pm but whoever said BBBEEE was last in with 15th July was wrong wrong wrong. We both lurk there. Huh.

Sorry. Bit pumped from the strimmer.

Prob a literary joke no-one will understand. Anyone read Dilbert? I bet Lapin does.

I was amazed by that 'clique' thread today.... Just imagine who lurks amongst us who we have no idea of.

My own peronal MN hero is wanderingtrolley.

Prob not right place to post but as I said - pumped from using the strimmer drinkingn again

OsmosisBanana · 10/06/2008 23:22

Hi UR, seems a while since you and I managed to be online at the same time ((eewww)).

How be you?

UnderRated · 10/06/2008 23:32

Ooo, lovley grassy hug, thanks

I'm ok - but melancholy, perhaps. Things alright with you, OB?

What clique thread? Should I be concerned that when I mention personal indiscretions on here that members of the general public are reading and not just lovely veggers?

UnderRated · 10/06/2008 23:33

Why have you been drinking strimming?

FrannyandZooey · 11/06/2008 08:13

I am always telling you, HERE BE LURKERS
they are legion, I promise you

I am slightly concerned about all this late night gardening that seems to be developing
I am sure wombling said she was mowing her lawn at 9.30 the other night

strawberries, hard kiwis, pears, raisins: 4

have got my scan after lunch
may get picture of its face? of course it really SHOULD be facing the other way but maybe it will turn round and look for a minute?
dp and ds both determined to spot genitalia
(against hospital policy AND Franny policy) but I will get the sonographer on my side I am sure

zippitippitoes · 11/06/2008 08:21

sorry osmopsis i missed the posts about your gardening

i never read the thread of cours which could be why

what is scan fore franny

FrannyandZooey · 11/06/2008 08:51

I didn't want the 20 week anomaly scan so they suggested a scan now to check the position of the placenta was a good idea, before I go into labour
apparently with low lying placenta you have zero chance of normal delivery and really don't want to start labour in the first place

(I think they also want to do a growth scan but am not playing on that one)

zippitippitoes · 11/06/2008 08:52

oh i see

so nothing untoward

well i hope it is all well
