For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

peppers, cucumber, onion, sweetcoen, fruits, other stuff.

how are you all - ( and who are you all - do we have newbies or a massive name changing session?)

BBBee · 09/06/2008 22:19

I had the most uncunting pineapple ever today. I was almost of crying standard.

TooTicky · 09/06/2008 22:26

Hello Bee
Yes, there was mass name changing. MrsC started it. I tried it but didn't like it.
How are you?

And can you come to a Bristol meet up possibly on 12th/13th July?

BBBee · 09/06/2008 22:32

I would love to but am hyper disorganised atm - will check diary - is it weekend?

How aare you and how do I find out who everyone is?

THIS IS CONFUSING AND WRONG.

TooTicky · 09/06/2008 22:38

Oh sorry, was reading thread.
Yes, it is weekend and definitely child friendly.
Um. MrsC is Guadalupe, Avi is aPomegranate, Wombling and FK have both been toying with mangoes, Stuffit is now an auiberging, 100x has forsaken us.

TooTicky · 09/06/2008 22:39

auiberging? Aubergine!

UnderRated · 10/06/2008 01:14

I love all the Queenly lyrics on here. FMF, you are very talented

Gym sounds horrid, Franny.

I want to be able to bake vegan cakes.

Chickpea curry, raspberries, a marvellous mango and a fabulous pineapple, carrots, hummus, juice... little exercise but will start again at the weekend.

stuffedaubergine · 10/06/2008 06:35

The gym lady sounds like Someone Who Knows Best. What an infuriating encounter. What are we calling her is it prat or twat I will do both.

It's a beautiful beautiful day here and I'm going to Chocolat to meet my friend. er lots of grapes and other fruit but have vegged me not.

Hab's list is fab but I like racking my brains without success every two weeks.

Have you packed your bag yet and are you against arnica as well as the rest of homeopathy ?

Toot am of your chickpea curry, I think it's the only way to eat chickpeas. I find hummus rather meh.

FrannyandZooey · 10/06/2008 07:43

I'm not aGAINST homeopathy, I just object to paying huge amounts of money for magic water. I am Stubborn and Ignorant about it.

bag about half packed I think
am planning live birth experience on MN with simultaneous webcam on weekend of 12/13 July in desperate attempt to get attention back on ME during meet up

fab breakfast - a really melting mango, pear, raisins, melon, grapes: 4

morning all and hope everyone is well and happy
could you all be around being quite funny this morning please as I have some spare time from about 10 am

fullmoonfiend · 10/06/2008 08:55

A glittering career with Hallmark awaits me >

morning, cunting work, ugh. I want a note from my mum on the grounds that it's too sunny for a sun-aholic to possibly get any work done...

TigerFeet · 10/06/2008 09:14

Morning lovely veggers

DH is 40 today

He is traumatised

It is hilarious [unsympathetic]

Tatties · 10/06/2008 09:17

Good morning

Bee aren't pineapples really good when they are good! Ooh I think I might get one today.

I was on the phone to dp last night, we were POSL at something he'd just remembered to tell me ds did when they were out without me at the weekend. They were passing a billboard - an ad with lots of cartoon faces on it which ds must have seen before. He shouted out, "Haha, the funny ones are back!" (aimed at the ad) just as some people were walking past... Dp said they got some strange looks

Franny the gym club thing sounds total crap. Arbitrary rules are so infuriating. And so frustrating when there is only one accepted way of going about things; no accounting for children having different and valid needs. Grrr on your behalf

Avi I hope you are ok

lionheart · 10/06/2008 09:31

Good morning. This name changing business is confusing.

IdrisTheDragon · 10/06/2008 09:37

lionheart · 10/06/2008 09:56

FrannyandZooey · 10/06/2008 11:02

7 lb TWELVE what kind of bijou baby do you call that?

I expect you are not far wrong, ds was 8 lb 13 but was 10 days overdue, the biffer

lionheart · 10/06/2008 11:04

Oh yes, a girl.
July 6th.
7lb 10oz.

(Am very bad at guessing so you will probably have an enormous boy baby on June 30th instead).

OsmosisBanana · 10/06/2008 11:04

Howdy.

Bastarding diet has meant I have already eaten 5 portions of F&V.

celery
tomatoes
strawberries
bananas
carrot

So hungry.

I did 4 hours of what I suppose could be called gardening yesterday. My back and thighs are killing me. Which can only be good right? I also lugged loads of builders rubble to the dump and heaved it up over the sides of the things.

I refused help as one of the stigs there said 'ooh I can see all of your tattoos when you do that'. I foolishly replied, 'not ALL of them'. Then got leered at for a good while. Gross.

Still, my front drive looks a little less like a traveller site now.

I bought weedol max too. I loves it. I'm going to do more of the drive later when kidlings are in bed and DH isn't watching as he will want to help but it's mine I tell you. Mine.
