For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Arse, forgot that lemon explosion had egg replacer in it. I don't use egg replacer and when I made this it was a wee bit delicate. Mind you, I did cut it while it was still hot.
If you definitely want lemon, will give you the TooTed up version.

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 18:39

yes we'll have Boho Rhaps but after that NO MORE

TigerFeet my parents were here today and are coming again to help me out in various different ways [grabs gift horse, takes it to dentist for check up, then performs amateur gastroscopy]

Dd2 has washed her hands and face and is now washing her T shirt. FINALLY I have one who may help around the house!

fullmoonfiend · 09/06/2008 18:39

ok, any others?

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 18:41

FMF if you have a nut or coffee grinder, and some flax seed, you can easily replace eggs with 1 tbsp of ground linseed mixed with 3 tbsp water, left to sit for a few minutes and stirred until gloopy like raw egg
each 4 tbsp of mixture made this way replaces one egg and it always works well in my admittedly limited experience

I have not been doing Queen renditions. I have been doing very bad and faintly absurd cossack style dancing in the kitchen to the lost Jewish music of Transylvania.

Luckily only ds2 was here to see me and despite it hurting my stomach and therefore deciding that one foot must always remain on the floor I feel better for it.

Dinner was tomato and brie tart with herb and lemon quinoi and salad and it was lovely but I finally lost my temper with dd as Every Bloody Day we spend half the meal discussing what she will and won't eat, how much she can leave, this bit is too sour, that bit has pepper on and so on. Then, she attempts to hide her leaves under her chair and when I catch her she does a sort of whizzy hand dance with them and munches a bit saying, not bad. GgGGGRRR.

Franny - the gym person sounds like a tit.

pinkspottywellies · 09/06/2008 19:13

Hello!

Raisins, beans, apple juice, lettuce, cuc, olives, gerkins (little teeny ones , satsuma, pear. 9 varieties. Not portions. But I went running last night.

Haven't had time to catch up on everything. But Hi!

TheMangoWhoKnewTooMuch · 09/06/2008 20:04

Evening

Boho Rhapsody is inspired, we must have it soon!

I have a great image of you doing cossack dancing with DS looking on, faintly puzzled, Guada, but I hope you didn;t hurt your tummy

I've had a pear, an apple, veggie moussaka with aubergine and lentils, corn on the cob, asparagus, peppers, celery.

I am restless and feel like going out. Anyone want to come?

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 20:11

onion, red lentil, sweet potato, parsnip and carrot stew with bread and butter

my mother has REALLY managed to irritate me today
ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 20:11

oh and corn
I am full but starving
is this a late pg thing? it is doing my head in

TheMangoWhoKnewTooMuch · 09/06/2008 20:18

Yes, I think so Franny, isn;t this when babies put on weight, in the last few weeks?

Did your Mother take DS out as planned?

Guadalupe · 09/06/2008 20:31

full but starving is very familiar, so annoying when you just can't work out what it is you are starving for.

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 20:41

oh I know what I am starving for
I just feel so FULL and ENORMOUS and STRETCHED

my mum is taking ds out tomorrow morning, then we're going for lunch, then to the supermarket (all things I have requested)
i am slightly heady at the prospect of asking her to do things and her doing them
anyway I am finding it rightly guilt making to have her helping me so much yet feeling so exasperated and weary about our every interaction

must let it all lie must let it all lie

Yum, Avi, I will thanks. Why did your sister upset you, was it PMT or was she being a cow?

Franny - I fail to see how they can't understand that some five year olds will not be okay if you just leave them. DD has always been fine, a bit shy the first time, but there is a viewing area that the parents sit in. I don't know as I haven't been, DH takes her, but I assume they can wave or whatever and this is reassuring. It's right on the edge of the city and too far away not to wait anyway.

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2008 20:53

my swedish friend is IN Sweden atm
do you want anything specific as she may be able to help?
