For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Morning biffers veggers. You want to try a diet of polish grey spongey pork fish meat - sure i lost a stone in 4 days.

Taking dd2 to gp this morning to get checked. I've woken up deaf in one ear and with a sore chest, everything sounds muffled.

DD's birthday on Thursday - we were giving her guinea pigs, we were donated a hutch and have a run and all the stuff now, and the damn guinea pigs are not likely to see out the week apparently (i have my suspicions that they're already ex-guinea pigs) so have to find some more fast, or present dd with an empty cage.

Morning 10/10ers--just taking a peek and hope everyone is okay.

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 09:40

Hello

TooTicky · 02/06/2008 09:42

Lionheart! Don't go - how are you?

TooTicky · 02/06/2008 09:43

Oh dear, poor guinea pigs
And poor you too Boco

TooTicky · 02/06/2008 09:43

And good morning to everybody of course

Boco · 02/06/2008 09:45

Hello Toots

Lionheart you tease, how are you, what you doing?

MrsCarrot · 02/06/2008 09:48

Thank you, Harpsi, but I am afraid that I have never heard that song.

Lionhart- why can't you stay, just for a little while?

harpsichordcarrier · 02/06/2008 09:48

Mrs Carrot how old are you

MrsCarrot · 02/06/2008 10:05

30 so I would have been 15 or so then, listening to Nirvana and Guns and Roses and so on. I don't know how i never heard that, was it um, popular?

lionheart · 02/06/2008 10:13

Have been really busy with work and toilet training (not mine, obviously ) and failing to find a house to move into and not doing very well with the f&V.

I have dipped into these threads along the way. How is everyone?

lionheart · 02/06/2008 10:14

Were you one of those grungy people, MrsC?
I've heard about them

lionheart · 02/06/2008 10:16

Boco, that sounds appalling.

MrsCarrot · 02/06/2008 10:18

erm, I think I may have been described as a grunger at some points, Lionhart, yes

When you dip in, Lionhart, you could quickly say hi and then race away. BBee does this all the time.

then we know you still love us

lionheart · 02/06/2008 10:19

I do love you and miss you too.

MrsCarrot · 02/06/2008 10:21

then stop skulking on the sidelines, you must race in, wave, and if you can't stop, ask for a whistlestop tour of events and we can wave and gaze at the doro swinging behind you, the faint trace of a mane disappearing over the prairie.

lazarou · 02/06/2008 10:24

Morning. Have had some grapes and strawberries this morning, [and some chocolate]

Am also waiting for my friend to get back to me about belly dancing.

lionheart · 02/06/2008 10:26

but there is f&V guilt as well, I feel like a fraud if my diet is pathetic.

MrsCarrot · 02/06/2008 10:34

why, this thread is hinged on the premise of fruit and veg and consists mostly of crises and larks, non?

Blimey, I eat fishfinger sandwiches all the time, 100 eats brie, Boco eats grey fish block, Franny eats WAY more cheese than anyone else, BBBee and stuffit live on coffee, some days zippi doesn't eat, and oggfrog is doing the cambridge diet and I don't know what that is but I don't think it involves 10 a day.

So there. If I missed people out be pleased that I could not immediately recall publicised indiscretions.
