For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I was actually caught by a friend singing metal guru out loud very lustily with my mp3 player on...
Tis a fab song.

Harpsi! Hello, how did franzo get you on here?

I have done very badly today (coleslaw and a sallad garnish is all I have achieved.)

mushroms, leeks, onion, salad with dinner though.

fullmoonfiend · 02/06/2008 19:32

I will only answer you Bee when I know you are actually here.

UnderRated · 02/06/2008 19:47

I missed the medieval thread yesterday but was watching a creative re-enactment thing so think I did my historical bit. Much as I at them, I did see the appeal...

IdrisTheDragon · 02/06/2008 19:49

BBBee you can't be 34. Because I am sure you are only a bit older than me (ie born in the same year) and I am 32.

fullmoonfiend · 02/06/2008 20:04

do you know, If I could be sure nobody I knew in RL would ever find out, I'd join one of those re-enactment thingy groups like a shot.
I nearly got kidnapped at one by some very lovely civil war enthusiasts who liked the cut of my jib, as it were...I only protested as ds was getting genuinely upset that they were serious. He kept saying: ''she's got a husband already. he's my daddy and he's big'' to them

UnderRated · 02/06/2008 20:10

lol @ your DS, FMF. Perhaps we could have a secret re-enactment group on here where we occasionally to olde medieval speake and drinketh mead

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2008 20:12

had a lovely bedtime cuddle with ds who kept stroking down the front of my top and saying "I love your soft wrinkly bit here mummy, it is so nice"
oh god I am nto only fat but ooooo-ooooo--ooooold as well

I reckon we can stick that bit of gutter back on
well somebody could
dp hates false economies so he thinks we need to get all the guttering and fascias removed and replaced at cost of thousands
but a bit of pritt stick and a stapler would probably do the job don't you think?

Hey seed geeks! Does anyone have some rocket seeds they would like to swap for some Red Salad Bowl lettuce (non-hearting) [geek]

Boco · 02/06/2008 20:24

Just a quick dumb question - children don't have NI numbers do they? You get that when you're older don't you? FIL is insisting I find ds2s NI number for the travel insurance claim, have offered NHS number but said no NI, am prodding piles of papers and wondering which one of us is totally wrong.

Tell me it's him.

fullmoonfiend · 02/06/2008 20:25

may I point you in this direction?

FrayedKnot · 02/06/2008 20:26

That would be the fat you hid in the cupboard when I visited then, would it, Franny?

I could do with a jolly olde tankarde of meade right now, I reckon.

FMF you would be just right in a medieval reinactment.

pinkspottywellies · 02/06/2008 20:26

You get NI no when you're 16 Boe-coe.

Boco · 02/06/2008 20:27

Hmph, i thought that was going to be the 'no, children don't have NI numbers' site.

Franny is that the one with the bow and arrow making?

Boco · 02/06/2008 20:28

Ha! So I am right! thanks pink (mutter mutter fil mutter)

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2008 20:29

PSW I reckon I have some (will send dp out in torrential rain to check....erm perhaps tomorrow) but I don't want any of your fancy lettuces
we are salads r us here

ooh I forgot carrots earlier
2 kinds
if anyone wants a very fly resistant variety I can recommend Autumn King, we had great success last year and looked beautiful

BBBee · 02/06/2008 20:30

i think you get your ni number when you are 1 - i remember it coming in the post on a car and feeling very important.

I am here look bock-o.

FMV - I once went out with a bloke who did those re-enactment things. I thought it would be rather sexy and fun and stuff. It wasn't. He drank lots of cider and then I had to feel the weight of his chain mail arm cover thing and be impressed. There was a lot fo having to be impressed as I remember.

It was not the best of times.

berolina · 02/06/2008 20:30

Evening all.

avi never mind. TooT, we will be in North Devon, not too far from Bideford. I am ridiculously excited at an English Family Holiday for the beros. Will be thinking of you and ds2 tomorrow.

franny at cuddle. I used to regularly sob my happy heart out at bedtime cuddles with ds1 in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Seeds - our balcony tomatoes, broad beans and peas are at least as tall as ds1 and all flowering away (the tomatoes are cheating though, they are not from seed). The rocket is all over the place and has tons of flowers. Herbs are a bit more of a disappointment - dh planted indiscriminately and all mixed up, and the ones I wanted less are thriving while the ones I really wanted (thyme, sage, lavender, basil) are struggling. We have pots of basil and sage on the kitchen windowsill, though. The 'meadow' (a window box full of grass and rogue plants) is flourishing, with about 5 different sorts of grass. If I narrow my eyes and look at a particular spot only, I can imagine myself into a Real Garden.

The tax return is sort-of done.
Veg bread, apple, carrot, more apple, pasta with tomato and basil sauce.

fullmoonfiend · 02/06/2008 20:30

Pink, I will swap with you, as my rocket keeeps running to seed anyway (humph)
Do I have your email? Cat me?

berolina · 02/06/2008 20:31

ooh we might have some rocket seeds left! will check.

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2008 20:31

hmm not sure Boco
they have the whole works, they all camp here for 3 days in character and they have a big fuckoff archery commpetition and god knows what else
it is a laugh actually but I think we have been too many years running
ds ADORES it but dp's fondness for it wearing very thin indeed

BBBee · 02/06/2008 20:31

FrannyandZooey · 02/06/2008 20:33

I am leaning on FK's cushion
