For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2008 09:02

ooh lovely photos to wake up to

have had a lie in
went out to restaurant sat for hours and hours got v uncomfortable but had nice food and entertaining time with friends
at end though my ankles had swollen up like god knows what - I mean very noticeably - this morning they are sort of mottled, look like I am covered with nettles stings or something (the bit where they first of all go white spots all over)
is this a normal pg thing? I don't think I have had it before

boys are out somewhere, don't know where, so have no-one to look and say 'yes you are dying of ankleitis'

Tatties · 11/05/2008 09:09

Gorgeous photos Bero and LR!

Bero the ones taken in the hospital make me feel very broody. Your ds1 looks so sweet, is he kissing his little brother or just looking very closely?

Littlerach are you alright?

Tatties · 11/05/2008 09:10

Can't catch up with all your chat. Well I could if I had all morning! Had a lie in today. We went to a wedding yesterday. It was wonderful. Really really lovely. And I ate much better food than I have been. I had apple, pear, kiwi, cuc, carrots, beans/mange tout, tomato soup, mushrooms, onions and orange juice. 10 varieties, if not full portions and lots of dancing for my 10 exercise. Yay! Back on track. Can I have a badge please.

I'm having my hair cut today. Had a really exhausting, stressy week but feel muich better this morning. Phew!

Hope you had a chilled out day eating grapes yesterday MrsC.

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 10:25

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 11:26

that is like beiong on an aeroplane franny its not good for you

yep that will be the reason

dont do it again

because you have a lot of weight it puts a strain on your bodys ability to circulate stuff etc

Greensleeves · 11/05/2008 11:27

Hrumpf

I emailed you at least twenty excellent thread titles which you have not used

I have had fishcakes and cottage cheese for breakfast , although there was a smidge of pineapple in the cottage cheese

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2008 11:27

Greeny that was about a year ago
was I meant to save them and use one a week?

OP posts:
Greensleeves · 11/05/2008 11:30

all my emails from a year ago are still in my inbox

but isn't their brilliance etched in your memory? [insulted]

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2008 11:31

well I remember something about the kale curls

OP posts:
Greensleeves · 11/05/2008 11:32

Ask not for whom the kale curls, it curls for thee

BRILLIANT [fingers in ears, loud whistling]

MrsCarrot · 11/05/2008 12:02

yes, 100 wanted that one too and we never used it, do that one.

Wasn't Poppy and Dingam strange, Franny? I liked it, finished it yesterday now I am on the other one.

DH got me a sun lounger, I asked for a cheap canvas one that can be stored easily and he bought a huge wooden thing on wheels that I can't move, cost too much money and looks like a hospital bed. Sigh. It is comfy though.

Tatties · 11/05/2008 12:28

MrsC I liked that book too, it was sad though

I think you have to do Lentil Guru Franny

FrannyandZooey · 11/05/2008 12:36

oooh title schism
they are never going to let us do lentil guru, Tatties, they don't share our enthusiasm for fey men in make up and gold pants

MrsC I loved it so much, I feel for inflicting it on you really

OP posts:
Tatties · 11/05/2008 12:38

I don't really understand how you can not have enthusiasm for fey men in make-up and gold pants [puzzled]

zippitippitoes · 11/05/2008 12:42

oh go on ride a whtie swan i loved at the time

had rather fallen out of love by metal guru

BBBee · 11/05/2008 12:42

I don;t think should have greeny's title purely on the grounds that she had a fishcake with cotage cheese and pineappple for Breakfast

that is so vile.

what was the lentil one?

I still like mine best.
