For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello Pesha

I'm very impressed that you are getting to the gym at all, Franny. Well done. (Notice that I am still sitting here and am no closer to my workout)

Poor DS. It is worrying when they suddenly come over all polite, isn't it? And quiet. That's always a sign that DS is not quite right. Hope he is back to normal asap

Must get off fat arse to gym now

Pesha · 04/05/2008 18:13

Ah well I would but um well you see the thing is I um well we're running a bit low on fruit and veg at the moment otherwise obviously I'd love to join you...

FrannyandZooey · 04/05/2008 18:17

Have just got back from day trip to Lunnon (Science Museum).

Hope MrsC feeling a bit better today.

Pesha · 04/05/2008 18:33

FrayedKnot · 04/05/2008 18:42

FrannyandZooey · 04/05/2008 18:46

Boco · 04/05/2008 18:59

I have sent her another text today. Am hoping not to get the balance wrong and show her we're all thinking about her without badgering her.

Big greek salad for lunch.
Stuff, I don't know, I can't remember, fruit. [vague]

BBBee · 04/05/2008 19:01

that's crap boco - you have to remember.

Franny ban her please.

Boco · 04/05/2008 19:07

you can't ban me, I'm still waiting for my motivational poster!
Maybe that's why I can't remember - without the poster it's too hard.

Boco · 04/05/2008 19:07

BBBee, tell us something nice.

BBBee · 04/05/2008 19:08

yes I'm afraid it has gone rather grey hasn't it.

UnderRated · 04/05/2008 19:10

lol
Boco, it's all about the details here. (Hopes no-one notices my lack of fruity details [hypocrite])

I am sure MrsC knows you are texting because we care and not because we want to bug her. Hope she is feeling much better today.

I went to the gym. I did 30 minutes of running and played with the weights for a while. It's a lovely day but I think I may run over to the student cinema and watch a film.

Boco · 04/05/2008 19:11

I am tired. Slept on a mattress in the sitting room and everytime dp turned over I rolled off and wedged down the side of the settee.

BBBee · 04/05/2008 19:11

I went to forest school and we did maypole dancing nad I did it and it was all jolly and my cheeks were flushed.

is that nice?

On my way to my course in the wee small hours I usually pass about 4 urban foxes.

is that nice?

someone on here just made me a facebook friend but we have NO friends in common - how does that work?

is that nice?

Davina McCall is only going to do one more series of big brother.

is that nice?

TooTicky · 04/05/2008 19:15

Bee will you be my FB friend? And Boco? Who else is on FB? I am collecting.

Boco · 04/05/2008 19:18

How do they know who you are, the person who you have no friends in common with?

Yes, the maypole dancing and the cheeks is the nicest.

The foxes is nice.

Indifferent to the dAvina.

BBBee · 04/05/2008 19:18

BBBee · 04/05/2008 19:19
