Raisins to be cherryful - 10 / 10 thread - all welcome

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

MrsC will be relieved to know that hospitals these days have lots of publicity about handwashing, posters up sayiong thatit's okay to ask staff if they have washed AND even shouting things on the wall which remind you to decontaminate your hands every time you walk past.

We have had a day and a half, very much so.

Well I'm not Zippi.. you do know me.. at least under old name.. I just don't usually post on 10/10 (well not for the right reasons ) mainly because I rarely achieve 10/10!!

Can we include cereals and stuff then? |

zippitippitoes · 29/04/2008 18:15

oh i know you arent new but i thought you werent new in 10/10 either

Fullmoonfiend · 29/04/2008 18:16

(franzo is very sensitive about us seeming dreanged now....)

zippitippitoes · 29/04/2008 18:16

i cant remember if i know who you used to be tho

and i think we had this conversation recently

i am having memory problems

ChocolateRockingHorse · 29/04/2008 18:16

Well let's say I am making a fresh start

I will have to think up a title and everything .. ok ok.. I know that's pushing it...

UnderRated · 29/04/2008 18:17

rockinghorse, you can include whatever you like until Franny comes back.

The real rules are only fruit, veg, beans/ pulses. Oats and stuff are v good for you too but don't count toward your 10. (Do they?) Some of us sometimes sneak other things in. For example Fruit --and- nut chocolate
