For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have to give out the days discharges to all the comm midwives. If I don't people won't get visits. Someone was supposed to be trained up to do it in such an eventuality but it never happened.

I am going to get a taxi.

S1ur · 01/05/2008 14:48

Good decision on the taxi OB.

I never did fancy RDJ but he was really funny and rather sweet in an interview once, so I could be persuaded.

TigerFeet · 01/05/2008 14:50

OB, poor you, I can see why you feel you have to stay. Is there any way you can do the absolute minimum and get away early?

lullabyloo · 01/05/2008 14:51

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

taxi v good idea OB

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 14:52

LOL! I only ever do the bare minimum!

TooTicky · 01/05/2008 16:15

Oh no OB, are you okay? Are you still at work?

MrsC - yes it was the meet up photo.

I am on facebook, happy to be friends with people but don't want to post my real name on here.

MrsCarrot · 01/05/2008 16:18

I thought it must have been. I was meant to find it funny wasn't I? I mean, I don't very often look like a carrot.

Fullmoonfiend · 01/05/2008 16:18

hello. I think I have come out in sympathy with Franny. I seem to hae a sort of stomach bug. Although I am not sick or the other, I feel sicky and stomach crampy and a bit vague and floaty. Grrr. I never get stomach upsets. I have even better bacteria than Frannzy.
So I have eaten nothing today. Lots of peppermint tea...

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 16:27

starting to feel a bit better at last - still not good but I now have feeling in my arms and face back. Yay!

I want facebook friends! I don't give a shit about people knowing my name, it's Eleanor Williams, come and find me!

God, so over excited about not feeling like death, now I'm gonna be all hyper and annoying. Again.

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 16:29

I have managed to hold down a packet of hula hoops so far. An improvement.

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 16:31

Hello everyone

OB I hope you get to leave soon and taxi sounds like a very good idea.

I used to get that numb arm feeling when I got very anxious about things. Not nice

I also have digestive woes today. Yesterday I bought some ready prepared fruit (I know, but it was 3pm and I hadn;t eaten any fruit and I fancied chocolate), and it had very underripe kiwi in it, which has really upset me. I knew after a couple of pieces because my mouth was stinging but now it has worked it's way down to the other end and giving me very bad tummy ache

I should have taken it back

I am still on Farcebook somehwere

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 16:34

OB there are lots of you!

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 16:34

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 16:35

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 16:37

There are 2 of us in Bristol, mine is the pic of me licking my friends face. Mmm. Tasty.

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 16:39

FrayedKnot · 01/05/2008 16:45

stuffitllama · 01/05/2008 16:58

like friends reunited (old person here) but with pictures?
and my friend who keeps nagging me to join says there's a repeated poking thing
i think i would be one of those with about four friends who never gets poked

stuffitllama · 01/05/2008 17:04

have eaten olives and raw carrots, later more raw carrots and tomato mozarrella salad dripping in olive oil
