For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

zippitippitoes · 01/05/2008 08:18

FrannyandZooey · 01/05/2008 08:22

take me to the river was on the commitments I think

yes definitely the yogurt, it happened twice before, exactly the same, whenever I try eating yogurt with those biotic doodahs in

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 01/05/2008 08:23

i think it is for people in the pub or whatever - you just phone the number, hold your phone up for a few secs so it can hear the music and they text you back straight away
it is quite spooky

zippitippitoes · 01/05/2008 08:25

oh how er useful

this cd is not my cup of tea at all

how do you get rid of these not nice bacteria then franny

FrannyandZooey · 01/05/2008 08:27

well I find everything works fine if I leave them alone - my body appears quite capable of making its own friendly bacteria, fancy that
add some that a yogurt manufacturer thought I ought to have and it all goes a bit wrong [disgruntled]

FrannyandZooey · 01/05/2008 08:27

Toot, how is ds this morning?
Lully I hope you slept alright -- your sciatica sounds pretty bad
Bero are you on holiday today like us?

Fullmoonfiend · 01/05/2008 09:49

morning all.

I am intellectually and academically stunted. Except for one thing|: I can identify 4million songs from a strange data base in my head. For some reason, crap music from the 80s is particularly strong. I am Queen of the Rock and Roll scene and much sought after for music quizzes.
I think I am an idot savant.

stuffitllama · 01/05/2008 11:42

my husband is the same
we text him secretly under the table

OsmosisBanana · 01/05/2008 11:51

I went to see a nutritionist type person a while ago who said that those bacteria yoghurts are hokum.

If you need your 'friendly' bacteria topping up, the amount that is contained in the yogz wouldn't be enough to actually benefit and you'd need to take an actual supplement which contains vast quantities.

Or sumfink like that.

I feel rough.

zippitippitoes · 01/05/2008 11:53

maybe it s all the sugar in them that makes you ill frany

tho you like siugar dint you

MrsCarrot · 01/05/2008 12:06

Toot!!

I laughed and laughed when I opened the package. Thank goodness it arrived before the op or I would have been in agony! I didn't notice it was me at first, I thought the carrot lady looked a bit like and then I looked closer and it was. Was that the meet up photo?

Can't wait to show the dcs, and thanks so much for the book too.

FrannyandZooey · 01/05/2008 13:43

Hope everyone is okay

I had a horrid night ,unable to turn over without squealing
But seems a little easier today thankfully

Walked to Co in a hailstorm this morning
Ds's cranium is tight again due to infection & congestion
He has a most alarming cough & green cold-but hearing seems a little better
In order to get him to lie still & flat,I usually read to him,but today ds entertained us with his versions of The three Bears,Three Billy Goats Gruff & his extensive dinosaur knowledge

We have a foul tasting magic potion to take Core Sambucus Blend
It has elderflower, eyebright, echinacea, angustifolia, hyssop & golden seal root in it.

He then shamed himself while I was paying by pouring all the water from the water jug on the magazine table all over the floor.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
