For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Good use of the nanny , Franny.

MrsC, I'm sorry he wasn't pleased with all your questions but I think you were right to ask. You are entitled to know so don't be put off. I expect many people just go in and don't ask so maybe he isn't used to having to explain things. Hope the theatre is ok.

Boco · 30/04/2008 18:48

You've got such a visual imagination MrsC. You need a picture of your ligaments and nerves all neatly sorted out and not dangling or waving or hanging in any way. He won't understand that probably, it just wouldn't occur to a lot of people, most wouldn't really want to think about it. Probably only 2 people a year he sees have such a vivid picture of it all in their heads, that might have helped him to understand.

Hope you enjoy the play. The email from HERS was very concerned, if its someone there they'll be told, and if not she'll send a 'cease and desist' letter, whatever that is.

Yes, chickpeas is from the Jamie in Italy book. It's kind of a pasta soupy thing. I hope it's nice.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 18:51

I am not cherryfull tonight as have just logged on to various e-mail accounts to discover that have not got tickets to the big gig in my park.

Ok OK I know it;s not a big deal really but I am just a teeny bit gutted. I haven;t been to see live outdoors music for years and years and I actually like quite a lot of current music at the moment.

If it was happening 10 miles down the road I would think oh well, but everyone going to it will be sodding parking in our road and that kind of thing...we'll be able to hear it from here.

It's like not being invited to a party when everyone else you know has been invited.

And I apologize for being grumpy to the people who do actually have real things to be fretting over.

Rant over.

stuffitllama · 30/04/2008 19:07

frayed what about ebay? you'll get tickets i'm sure

stuffitllama · 30/04/2008 19:08

Mrs C you are fantastic giving the surgeon a run for his money. If you need to ask questions to feel more relaxed and unstressed about the op then he should see that answering them fully will help you enormously.

stuffitllama · 30/04/2008 19:08

flip this is why i lurk and don't post
as soon as i touch the keyboard a child hoves into view
sod

FrayedKnot · 30/04/2008 19:10

No, Stuffit, tickets were free. There was a ballot. You cannot sell / buy tickets.

That's why i wnated to go...it was going to be completely free!!

Too good to be true I suppose.

MrsC I love how you befuzzled the surgeon.

stuffitllama · 30/04/2008 19:12

UnderRated · 30/04/2008 19:21

Haven't seen or heard from Elevator man. Thankfully. Thanks for asking stuffit. Did spend 2 hrs on the phone to Internet Man the other night. He doesn't seem as pushy.

UnderRated · 30/04/2008 19:22

Zippi, I am very familiar with all that. It is not very helpful but something I seem to resort to more than I should.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 19:23

2 hours on the phone..do you make notes in case you cant think of anything to say and there is a silence thats what i do

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 19:26

stuffitllama · 30/04/2008 19:26

GOOD ur.. nice to know he's not wierd enough to pursue you unreasonably
is internet man a man who installs and fixes internet systems or a man you know off the internet
i am so good at cutting off my nose to spite my face
stubborn doesn't cut it

UnderRated · 30/04/2008 19:27

lol, I do do that zippi. But I didn't that time because I didn't know he was going to call. But it was mainly him talking at me and me giggling and saying "Uh huh" every now and again.

I need to make a list next time so that I can contribute something to the conversation.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 19:29

oh bf isnt alowed to ring unexpectedly he has to tell me by email he is going to ring..well ask if it is ok if he ringa later

then i make notes ready

and mostly panic about how i will end the phone call

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 19:29

so have you been out iwth internet man

UnderRated · 30/04/2008 19:42

No, haven't been on date with him yet - takled a lot on phone and msn. He asked me out one evening but it was when I had just got in from date with Elevator man, so I wasn't up for it. Maybe in a couple of weeks. I think he's quite intellectual though so will be disappointed that I know nuffink. I met him online, stuffit, he doesn't fix internet things, although that would be useful.

zippitippitoes · 30/04/2008 19:50

oh intellectual is nice and so are you intellectual you are good at scrabble

lullabyloo · 30/04/2008 20:07

do you too play scrabulous? [sulk]
