For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am eating raspberries.

I will make bread for the commune. And then find a nice corner and read Antonia Forest books. And Noel Streatfeild.

IdrisTheDragon · 16/04/2008 21:23

Have remembered that TooT probably makes superior bread.

stuffitllama · 16/04/2008 22:20

hi, i'm so sorry i can't keep up with all your lovely chat, two handfuls raw spinach, only because i said i would
it's revolting, it really is
despite this I will eat spinach for the commune
and everyone else's lovely food
and will poke idris out of her corner to read ballet shoes to my dd

eternalstudent · 16/04/2008 22:26

DH is very over-excited at the thought of people discussing his alrightness. I shall be in for a night of flaying no doubt.

stuffitllama · 16/04/2008 23:35

it would.. might get to eat some cooked food instead of all this raw
and meet you all plus dcs, dcgs and spanking boyfriends

stuffitllama · 16/04/2008 23:36

maybe we should do an Amish and all come and build your house for you
followed by a communal bonfire
followed by a musical festival
and a mahoosive picnic

UnderRated · 17/04/2008 00:39

Commune plans seem to be coming along nicely. I'll help zippi grow stuff. Am not much good at anything else really.

Oats w/ raisins, ground flax seed & soy milk, Carrots & hummous, lentil chili w/ wholemeal pita. Not 10. And not nearly 10.

zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 00:43

it sounds very good as long as i do labouring and not project managing or we would all be in tents for five years with lots of rough drawings

UnderRated · 17/04/2008 00:59

But I bet they'd be lovely drawings.

BBBee · 17/04/2008 01:48

...and we definitely would never be bored!

UnderRated · 17/04/2008 01:57

And some of us would never go to bed

FrannyandZooey · 17/04/2008 07:55

oh student I rudely forgot to say that you do indeed look very alright yourself
[casual] how communal is the commune going to be btw? and is MrStudent coming?

FK sorry that all sounds very disheartening. Zippi also. Lots of wishes for a happy day for everyone...

apple, satsuma, melon, grapes, raisins

Morning all no f and v but just wanted to say hello before dashing out, hope you all have lovely days x

zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 08:09

fk i hate that want a quick meal and all those supermarket cardboard and lots of packaging stuff is so shite

i always end up having breakfast but thatisnt really a family meal

lol at some of us never going to bed i never know what time it is for you UR so iam under the illusion that you are up late too but in fact it is probably just me and bbeee

i am having stair carpet in the new house this am...which i hope will look nice that house is so nice inside i am jealous in the sense that i have never lived anywhere properly nice...we just got our last house nice and i left it/exh

i am determined to be optimistic re finishing the business i neatly encaposulates the dp period so maybe i should move on from the name too and wrap those 9 years up as finished

i shall try and get some gardening jobs...i think i have to charge more than 10 quid tho

it will be easier to concentrate on more positive new things without the COM millstone

and you lot are so lovely sorry for monopolising this thread

FrannyandZooey · 17/04/2008 08:10

yes that's it zippi yu have to clear all this away to make room for new wonderful things

that's why burning stuff would be good

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 08:19

i wish i could burn all the papers but i think there are very strict rules over keeping files for IR and VAT...i have tons of files with all my sales and purchases etc but I am half afraid that winding up may trigger an investigation by one or both of those

and worse still if it does you have to pay for it yourself....which would be horrendous

but fingers crossed I shall have to try and find out how long they have to do such a thing..I think it might be 5 or 7 years

i would love to go to the gym this am but cant cos of the carpet

however staying up late last night meant i didnt toss and turn

i dont think i had dinner last night again my food has not been at all good lately

i do have some of that lovely chaourcin cheese tho

zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 08:23

why are the people on those threads called z zooey and bee

this seems weird

BBBee · 17/04/2008 08:29

zippi

I am glad you seem much most positive today - yes see it as a chapter - that is good. If you like I have a friend who worked as a gardener but now has retired and is setting up a rather wonderful self sufficiency living space so you will like him. He used to work at kew and then went into business. He has a garden passion. Completly understand if it is not the time - lodge it at the back of your mind and ask me for his email if/when you are ready. He is a wonderful and truely lovely man.

I am feeling a bit becuase term starts again on MOnday which means I am back to comunity to university and won;t be around much again - I like popping in every day. Never mind. I am hoping that I have got my eating under control a bit and am going to keep up my 10/10 even with less contact.

My friend gave me some jeans that were too small for her - they were a size 14 and they fit rather well which is a shame as I want size 12 to fit rather well not 14. But then there was once a time when size 18 didn't fit so I should look at it like that.

satsuma
dried apricots

BBBee · 17/04/2008 08:30

'commuting to universtiy'

zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 08:31

well you have dropped sizes bbee so that is good if you want more size fourteen jeans or anyone else i have them

quite little worn per una

and size 16

zippitippitoes · 17/04/2008 08:33

and your commute sounds awful

and your gardener friend sounds nice i may well do that

i am determined to see good things

if i get to the end of may then the worst time of the year for me whuich is jan to may is over..that is rather a lot of the year lol
