For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

You know those novelty hats with the cans and the straws attached to a cap? You could liquidize food and drink it through straw from hat - leaving both hands free. Et Voila.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:01

Oh but FMF I don't know if I want to go. Do I?

Am not sure it is very me.

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 19:01

yes that would be good
how can i liquidise a bag of nuts?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2008 19:01

100 did you see my thread about the bird threads
I suspected a conspiracy

OP posts:
Boco · 18/04/2008 19:03

Well you're going to have to work with me here Franny. Maybe not the nuts, they could roll one by one down a little chute into your mouth. The majority of other food stuffs could be liquidised, with a bit of carrot juice or something.

Fullmoonfiend · 18/04/2008 19:05

Oh 100, it looks like camp kitch heaven!!!

In fact it would make a stunning 10/10 meetup venue but without children...

I want to go for my birthday.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:05

No Fra, I missed it. What happened?

In the park today JJ ran at this group of pigeons - I am encouraging this - but it all went wrong and they flew over me rather than away and they were low and their wings whirred near my hair. Was AWFUL.

I screamed and dd said 'Why are you crouching down like that? Get up'.

FMF. You have the right place. I am worried about the circus tent and the fires and things in the evenings. I am extraordinarily bad at groups. Especially groups where people say 'Blue Skies' and things like that. You need to understand this about me. I shall turn up in a car, and wear the wrong shoes and EVERYTHING.

zippitippitoes · 18/04/2008 19:06

you have all been psoting like mad

thing near fmv sounds nice

as does work in shop wondow

and franny should just eat

and hi toot and 100 and stuffit and fk

i went to the gym and swimmed

mytutor got in the pool while i was there which was abit weird he said hello fancy seing you here

i ahve to do some tidying but doint know what to prioritise as there is far too much

Fullmoonfiend · 18/04/2008 19:09

Anne 100, I have reached 38 without ever using the phrase blue skies. Unless it happens to be a very nice day...

Cannot help you about shoes. I tend to be barefoot

Look, they do cocktails and provide cake. How bad can it be?

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:14

SEE. You would be barefoot and dancing round the fire. And I will wearing smart shoes, and sitting in the corner with a tight smile and everyone will hate me.

Disaster.

Though the kitsch does appeal. AND I didn't know they did cocktails.

I am fascinated by Blue Skies. A man from Woodfolk thingy wrote it in an email to me. I had to do a thread on here to find out what it meant.

Am considering it.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:15

Mind you, perhaps I could have day visitors? I could get the person we both know in H to come and visit for the day. And he could be too tall. And she would be very comforting wouldn't she?

Hmmm.

zippitippitoes · 18/04/2008 19:16

blue skies like blue sky thinking?

or like enid blyton enough blue sky to make a sailor a pair of trousers

Fullmoonfiend · 18/04/2008 19:16

Hmm. No electric and fairy lights...

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:18

No electric? Why not? Candles, then?

Good grief. Would be going with dcs. They'd like it. DS1 could burn the trailer down, he'd enjoy that.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:20

Actually it would be perfect 10/10 meeting place. The Ultimate Meeting Place.

Fullmoonfiend · 18/04/2008 19:21

They appear to have a need to be eco-friendly...I am all for candles and bonfires but I need music (and not some beardy git crooning Kum-bah-ya)

Your dc are old enough to not fiddle with stuff are they? Just seen a rather stern warning on website about children fiddling with their lovingly-collected junk objets d'art.

ahundredtimes · 18/04/2008 19:24

Hmm. Well, yes, they should be too old in theory. Not sure about the reality though.

Eco schmeeco.

Fullmoonfiend · 18/04/2008 19:32

Hmmm. My children are fiddlers....

Am dropping heavy hints to dh for our anniversary though.

Yes she would be wonderfully soothing. Am asking her to help me with class cake stall next week because of her soothing qualities! he is remarkably tall. Not many chaps make dh look like a midget.

FrayedKnot · 18/04/2008 19:59

Hello again

Is there a link to this barefoot place?

Do you know I haven;t ever had edamame beans.

I must be at the bottom for that, BBBee.

I have just despatched DH to purchase cheap & nasty chocolate from the store which shall not be named.

It's been that kind of week.

Boco I have loved hearing all about your do and am quite happy to hear more.

Franny, why won;t your friend understand if you eat huge amounts? Can;t you just say I'm getting extraordinarily hungry atm and dive in?

Oh, here's the chocolate

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:00

I know the camp you are talking about and if it isn't the same one then it does the same things and it is around Whitby way so it must be. Are you avoiding mentioning it on here for a reason? I will link it if you like.

Do I make glamorous vegetables? How nice of you all. This evenings was very nice I must say, my favourite actually. You roast all sorts like fennel, red onion, courgette and pepper with olives and anchovies, then towards the end put in some cooked potato and tomatoes and basil and a little stock so it's all steaming and salty. The you perch some seabass fillets on the top and it steams and goes crispy with all the flavours. It is very nice. You could replace the bass with another thin delicate fish.

Not neurotic? Are you having a laugh, Franny? I have treatments for neurosis.

As for the food, good lord just eat for heavens sake. If you can't eat exactly what you want at this point in your life when can you? Also, if you really can't stuff in front of her fill up on smoothie or something or accept that it wiill be frugal on Fridays. I like the sound of inhaling cake.

MrsCarrot · 18/04/2008 20:01

I like eddame (sp?) beans and also roasted broad beans but they are a bit salty.

We were choosing between that camp, those farm ones where your tent has floorboards and the tipi. We went for the tipi but the others were tempting. I was slightly put off by the communal aspect of the first one, I like to be quite private when camping. We had our tipi in a clearing rather than on a main field. Others like to cook together and play bongos or whatever. I like to visit those people and then walk back to my clearing. 100, I think you might like the floorboard tents. Have you come across them?

UnderRated · 18/04/2008 20:08

Anorak, I'm sorry you are so anaemic. I remember my Dad eating tons of liver and all sorts to try and avoid it. I think it can be a huge challenge, especially when eating is difficult anyway.

Franny, would soup help? Or is it too messy? I was thinking that it is easier to slurp soup quickly than shove sandwiches in your mouth and try to reply. A really big breakfast? Ahundred's flashcards are a very good idea.

lol @ Boco's solution to BBBee's problem with DS. I don't have a better idea than fake fainting.

Fairyland looks wonderful. And I want to go to this camp up north.
