For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

How come so few people on MN have visible profiles? Is it a bit naf to have yours visible? Should I delete mine? Will it make me more mysterious and cool?

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 20:18

it's Avi Island, circa 1920, ES
we have learnt not to ask its exact co-ordinates on here

I was quite Lully-esque in my veg eating today. If I can't usurp 100x place at the bottom of the list, I shall attack the top.

Spinach / rocket / watercress salad with guacamole in a wmeal pitta (x3 piglet that I am)

raspberries

aduki beans with okra, butt sq, onions, carrots, leeks etc etc.

Some grain I've not heard of before called amayah or sumfink with lots of seeds in it

carrot and lambs lettuce salad with tahini dressing

wanted to go for my 2nd run but DH is digging and it's nearly dark and the park is full of rapists and cottagers. Tomorrow....

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 20:21

yeah that's right
because i am totally dangerous around other people's husbands

yes but most people think it is harder to cut a lawn than to amuse a child in an intelligent way

and that being the way things are, £5 or 6 an hour is a perfectly decent rate for a young, unqualified nanny

He is alright but he makes very unreasonable bedtime demands, you wouldn't like it

was Zippi refering to a lady rabbit??

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 20:24

I went into Virgin (or whatever it is called now) t'other day and saw an album with my BF's brother on the cover! I was so excited I was mincing around telling any spotty yoof who was around about it. Surprised I didn't get thrown out.

eternalstudent · 16/04/2008 20:37

i know it wasn't very interesting. I'll try harder.

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 20:45

we know you were just trying to distract from whatever filth it is your dh likes at bedtime
we're not going to stop thinking about it just because you are pretending you didn't mention it

Hello

I am very tired. Suffolk trip was OK but DS was not OK about me going. It was awful..he sobbed as I went out of the door and I feel like a horrible cow of a mother

Had to resort to a ready meal for supper and was dismayed that I couldn;t find an indian dish that wasn;t "battery chicken with no hint of veg in a vaguely spiced gloopy sauce"

I am way behind on the thread but re pizzas I make the Jamie Oliver recipe and it's very, very easy and quick, and the results are superb, so Dh tells me

Avi nursery sounds . I have similar issues with things like use of TV, margarine and so on, however, they are extremely flexible in terms of settling in, picking up early, etc etc. I couldn;t work it if they weren;t that flexible, tbh. And the lack of understanding that sometimes you might think it is in your child's interests not to attend the whole session, would be of concern to me.

I can;t remember what else you ahve been discussing, so will bow out now

lullabyloo · 16/04/2008 21:04

Oooooooooh errr ES
He IS a bit nice

Read stories?

Pink will do yoga sessions

BBBee will entertain us in one way or another

Oh and BBBee, I heart you too

And everyone else of course, no favouritism

How did Boco get on, do we know?

I am eating crisps. Don;t ask how they got into the house.

Road trips do strange things to me.
