For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

zippi you are allowed to feel upset and disappointed about things
that is fine

you are not allowed to construe from that the fact you are a failure and nothing good will ever happen

Zippi, I am sorry to hear that your insomnia is worsening and that things are so tough. You know I sympathise. I know it's not easy. I really don't think you are a failure but I understand it feels that way when lots of things haven't gone the way you hoped. I think we should start a commune somewhere pretty and we will live off the land and have no worries and not owe anyone money. And it will be a great success and our families will be pleased but we will be happy and content in ourselves and not need them to be happy for us. But it will be nice anyway. You know this isn't simply a matter of pulling yourself together.

MrsC is right - be kind to yourself. I wish I could say something comforting but I'm not very good at that I do think you are wonderful - kind and caring and very understanding. You are very very lovely.

I agree with FMF. No-one should go to Beautiful Days.

BBBee · 16/04/2008 18:31

i never get on those threads - i did in the days when my name began with 'd'

my favourite 10/10er is....

stuffitllama · 16/04/2008 18:38

zippitippitoes · 16/04/2008 18:44

thank you UR too you are all fab to me

well i have suspended my google ads and given notice on my web hosting and sent my accountant an email to tell him i am winding up the company

and booked a builder in to do the path to the front door of the new house so dd1 will have less reason to nag me which has been getting to me too

i told her to just find somewhere else to live if it was so much easier the other day...

bf is coming for the weekend which will be nice

if I can sort some stuff out in the next two days it might be a help

my white bread came out better than my brown collapsed end wise which is annoying

zippi I think you should do something fabulous and decadent (but not expensive) to mark this ending

I think it is a good decision and will free your life from a lot of mental type clutter which you obviously needed to do

My white bread is always better than my brown which, as you say, is quite annoying. It sounds as though you are being very proactive about all of this which I am sure will help. And I am glad your BF will be there at the weekend. Did you make any plans for DGS birthday?

zippitippitoes · 16/04/2008 18:51

any suggestions welcome

BBBee · 16/04/2008 18:51

agree with franny zip - that is a nice idea.

stuffit - think of you still when i do my raw carrot trip

there is some nutjob on mn called MrBee or something - has been around for a bit but I only ever come here so I only just found out.

He is swedish and steiner-ish.

not my dp - oh no.

BBBee · 16/04/2008 18:52

BBBee · 16/04/2008 18:52

PIERCING?

zippitippitoes · 16/04/2008 18:54

the only plan for dgs birthday is i wont be there i think as bf will be here

and i still havent mentioned the dgs fact to him

of course my birthday is coming up in a few weeks and i dont think ill be mentioning that either

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 18:55

he is thebee Bee and no-one would ever think he was anything to do with you

I suggest lighting a fire and sitting next to it throwing on pieces of paper on which you have written all the bad things you hated about having the business

while wearing a very large and frivolous hat

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 16/04/2008 18:56

oh i have been vagueldy threatening to get a tattoo

my kids would disown me i expect

actually i designed a logo for city of marvels in 2000 when it was an interior design business with a horse in..which would make a tatoo

it was off a piece of pottery

zippitippitoes · 16/04/2008 18:57

oh yes could have a nice fire

maybe inbclude the house in it

BBBee · 16/04/2008 19:00

i like the fire idea (sans house zippi) and burn some old clothes and bad things and business stuff and then the ashes cool and save some to make a, um, picture of, um a phoneix? (got a bit lost there)

Is TheBee a serious nutjob - has he threatened to stalk people? Shall I go and ask him to marry me?

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 19:00

oh I had fab dinner all made by dp

fritatta (yes this is about the only thing he cooks atm but is v good) with leeks, mushrooms and broccoli

coleslaw with raisins and sunflower seeds

salad of lettuce and tomato

very nice

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2008 19:01

we had that interesting lunch as ds friend was round. Was nice actually, ds ate some as friend and afterwards said it was 'okay'. THey both had some apple and friend's mum said he doesn't often so that was nice.

I offered the requested crap but no sweet stuff bar fruit and that was okay.

I have done well again - hoorah!

muesli and banana
apple
orange
tomato
cucumber
carrots x 2
kiwi
brocolli

stuffitllama · 16/04/2008 19:04
