See my other thread.

I have just had blood tests for my muscles twitching, pins and needles in my hands, warm joints. Its all I.proving through since I've been taking eleoctolytes in my drink these last couple of days

One for my liver has come back high and needs repeating. Please calm me down..I feel like I could pass out.

All the other results are in normal range. Its just this one.

Wait till further news, good luck

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:02

What's that meant to mean

Omg I'm going to die..I'm too young

I mean this kindly but I think you need to stop posting about your health.

You've said yourself you have 'horrendous health anxiety', so asking strangers to 'talk you down' is a big gamble.

Most MNetters aren't medical experts, so you could well end up feeling even worse.

PalePurplePumpkin · 26/06/2024 19:04

Cross posted

Yep, you're better off walking away from the internet and sticking with the professionals.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 26/06/2024 19:04

Bit difficult to see all of your threads when you've namechanged for the last two.

You'd not said what liver test needs repeating. But you've said in the single thread that can be linked to you that you've got severe health anxiety and you've been convinced you're dying when you got normal blood results as well.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:05

I don't mean to name change. I didn't realise.

I'm really panicking and shaking

Anxiety is like a snowball, the more you feed it the bigger it gets. Are you getting any support with managing your anxiety?

Deebee90 · 26/06/2024 19:06

Calm down. Get off the results app and distract yourself . Who ever ordered the tests will be in touch with whatever results

Janiie · 26/06/2024 19:06

Sorry you're worried but if most bloods are ok that is reassuring. Liver one may just be a blip or are you a drinker?

Gazelda · 26/06/2024 19:06

OP, I think you should get off the internet and talk with someone in real life. Friends, family, Samaritans?

Someone who can help you reach calmness.

FluentRubyDog · 26/06/2024 19:06

You have an acute case of whataboutitis. Lay off Dr Google, go do something distractful and await GP opinion.

One raised liver function test on it's own happens in almost every blood test. It most definitely doesn't warrant an impending doom.

StripedTomatoes · 26/06/2024 19:07

Are you always this dramatic? You're not going to die. You just need more bloods taken.

JoJothegerbil · 26/06/2024 19:07

I had high liver enzyme results once. It was fine. 20 years later, I'm still here. Get help with your anxiety.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:08

Serum alkaline phosphatase. Level is 23

I'm not a drinker. I've not had alcohol in months

Not drinking enough, exercising to the point of exhaustion, and your crippling health anxiety is doing this.

Leave. The app. Alone.

I think this is sensible advice. I have been where you are have been convinced the smallest thing is worse case scenario. It's really not. Stay off Google, and speak to someone in real life.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:09

This anxiety is really really bad. I've not a clue why its so high. I don't drink. My bones are not sore. I'm not tired. I run lots and exercise lots.

AmelieTaylor · 26/06/2024 19:09

Let a friend know you're feeling like this

Go outside, even if the most you can manage is to stand in the doorway.

Have a non alcoholic drink.

keep repeating this will pass Anxiety feel crap, but it can't actually hurt you!

the liver is incredibly effluent at healing itself, you'll be fine.

FluentRubyDog · 26/06/2024 19:09

ALP at 23 is due to your overexercising.

Workoutinthepark · 26/06/2024 19:10

Are you on medication for anxiety? Anxiety is a medical condition, and it's the condition that you have, so that's what you need to treat. It's causing you to imagine endless bad medical problems you don't have.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:11

Thank you all so much. I'm really truly terrified right now. I hate this anxiety

I thought potasium levels may have come back low but not my liver. I dont drink or smoke and I'm not overweight

Serum alkaline phosphatase level 23.

I just don't understand. It says I need another blood test

OP posts:
AgnesX · 26/06/2024 19:12

I think you're being a bit of a drama llama. If it was something serious the GP would have arranged for the tests to come back really quickly.

Go for a long walk, jump up and down, meditate, anything to take your mind off it.
