See my other thread.

I have just had blood tests for my muscles twitching, pins and needles in my hands, warm joints. Its all I.proving through since I've been taking eleoctolytes in my drink these last couple of days

One for my liver has come back high and needs repeating. Please calm me down..I feel like I could pass out.

All the other results are in normal range. Its just this one.

Isn't low Serum alkaline phosphatase usually due to malnutrition and not eating enough protein? Yours is only slightly lower than the usual range.
Do you eat a full balanced diet? Do you eat enough? It'a usually easily remedied

Thank you all so much. I'm really truly terrified right now. I hate this anxiety

I thought potasium levels may have come back low but not my liver. I dont drink or smoke and I'm not overweight

Anxiety is awful. I get it. When I'm feeling really anxious, I repeat to myself that this intense feeling right now will pass. Keep telling yourself that. Do you have anyone in real life you can talk to? Two things that helped me were talking and walking. Speak to your GP tomorrow. My friend recently had raised liver blood tests. She's fine. It sounds like you've got a lot going for you, your fit, not overweight. These are all good signs.

Mrsttcno1 · 26/06/2024 19:15

This isn’t something to stress about at all OP, as previous poster suggested it can literally just be as simple as not quite eating enough protein. If all they want is a repeat of the bloods it’s certainly nothing worth losing sleep over.

You post these threads often and I truly think you need to come off this app and the internet and seek real life support for your anxiety rather than asking strangers online. You have seen medical professionals, tests are being done, ask them.

You’re fine.

Put the phone down.

You also need to eat to be around for him.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:21

He can't walk but he has no learning difficulty. He's beautiful.

What's wrong with my liver or bones. I can't cope with this.

changedusernameforthis1 · 26/06/2024 19:22

I've had liver issues for a while now and last year was diagnosed with non alcoholic fatty liver disease. My serum alkaline phosphatase is currently at 138, but it does say the lowest should be around 30 so try not to worry too much.
The liver is fantastic at healing itself, but in my experience it tends to throw tantrums over the slightest thing - and I was as freaked out as you when I was first called back for more bloods. I understand how crippling anxiety can be.

I hope it all goes okay for you 💐

anotherpain · 26/06/2024 19:23

Fellow anxiety sufferer here. IF whoever took the bloods thought that you were going to die they wouldn't have requested a repeat. You would have been sent right to the nearest hospital. The anxiety is making you overthink. Believe me I have got myself into some tight states when I've had something wrong with me.

You have to be rational here, if it was something REALLY bad you wouldn't be left at home waiting to have repeat bloods done.

In the kindest possible way, take a deep breath and calm yourself and wait to see what happens next.

Is your level 23 or 123? Either are actually within the normal ranges I can find online, but it does depend on age, sex, etc. Either way, if you are outside of the range it's not by a large amount. You need to calm down and speak to your GP in the morning, and get help for your anxiety. You're not dying.

Doubt it. Seems to be more about attention seeking than actually getting help.

FlyingUnderTheRadar · 26/06/2024 19:25

123 is hovering around the upper end of normal for most people. If it’s outside the reference range for your age I’m betting it’s very marginally so. Chill dude!

F0GGYCAT · 26/06/2024 19:26

Deep breaths sweetheart. You're going to be just fine.

StormingNorman · 26/06/2024 19:27

@Terrifiedshakes Calm the fuck down. There is literally nothing wrong with you that a couple of steaks and laying off the exercise won’t fix. Your levels are broadly normal.

Irishdragon · 26/06/2024 19:27

You need to take a step back and stop googling !! If it was that serious you would be in hospital now . Seek help for your health anxiety.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:28

I am reading. I'm really struggling. I've really lost it i know. I'm outside getting air

Another test, the width if my red blood cells one came back high but the gp doesn't seem too concerned on their notes

Serum alkaline phosphatase level 23.

I just don't understand. It says I need another blood test

It’s normal to need another blood test if one of the readings is deranged. I had a raised cancer marker in bloods three years ago. Had to repeat it three weeks and then it was fine. Doctor said abnormal levels can happen for all sorts or reasons, minor infection can be one. You really do need to stop overreacting - panic when there’s something to actually worry about - ie when you’re told you’ve got a serious medical condition, and that’s not what’s happened here. It’s also a little insensitive posting such hysterics when there are people on here battling life threatening illnesses - I’m sorry to say.

F0GGYCAT · 26/06/2024 19:30

Do you have a lead practitioner?

Are you on any anti-anxiety medication? Have you had training in CBT?
