See my other thread.

I have just had blood tests for my muscles twitching, pins and needles in my hands, warm joints. Its all I.proving through since I've been taking eleoctolytes in my drink these last couple of days

One for my liver has come back high and needs repeating. Please calm me down..I feel like I could pass out.

All the other results are in normal range. Its just this one.

I'm calming down. I'm at a 7 out of 10.

I'm so embarrassed how I react in panic with health anxiety.

My DH said that once, his liver came back high and he was told it was probably due to his IBS

Did you see my posts OP? I’m a nurse and this result isnt worrying.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:47

In reading everything you all say, ut nothing helps me apart from reassurance and a clean bill if health.

I've had the tablets, the counciling. But when I'm told something isn't right, then I can't control my panic. I got suicidal earlier which is mad because I have HEALTH anxiety. I want to be around for my son.

Have a massive hug you poor love xx

LittleSparklyStar · 26/06/2024 19:48

But I’ve given you reassurance and nobody can have a clean bill of health every single day can they?

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:49

Littlesparklystar, I have seem your post. Is it not really?

I wouldn't know. I'm 34 and I've no experience in interpretation of blood results.

This is the one

That would not be considered high or abnormal in many labs. I checked - the normal range for my lab is 30-130U/L.

As that is the only (technically) abnormal result, your doctor will not be concerned. I'm actually surprised they're even going to retest it.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:50

Foggy and little, thank you. I'm embarrassed now I'm calmer. I'm still very concerned.

I'm very sorry to people who are poorly too. I dont mean to be insensitive. I live every day thinking it could be me.

Sapphire387 · 26/06/2024 19:51

The problem with health anxiety is you're seeking a reassurance that you can never have. You can never be 100% guaranteed that everything is well with your health, and that it always will be. So it's about learning to live with the uncertainties but with the probability that all is well.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 19:56

This width one is puzzling me..

I can feel panic rising but I'm trying hard to push it down

Eh? There is nothing odd there.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 26/06/2024 20:02

I've just looked up my bloods. The normal range at my hospital is 30 - 130. So it's absolutely normal at a major teaching hospital in London.

Mine was 117 in November and 127 u/l in April.

As previously, you are massively overreacting and you aren't going to die and leave your child with only one parent.

Sapphire387 · 26/06/2024 20:03

Trying to think what else I can say that will help.

A doctor once told me it's a rare set of blood tests that come back with absolutely everything perfectly in range?

We're humans, not machines. We are all individuals. And we are all individuals who sometimes have blips.

I've seen the NHS kick into action when there is real concern. If your doctor was worried, they wouldn't be casually telling you to retest. They'd be making appointments, sending you to hospital and whatnot.

It means eat better/more and exercise less.

The normal range is higher for that at my hospital, too.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 20:04

The blood width one is high.

Never drop, thank you. I hope your are genuine and knowledgeable. I really do.

I have no symptoms of nothing. Just a few twitching muscles which are improving. My joints were hot last week but it's calmed down now.

I don't have any pain. No tiredness. I could eat people out of house and home if they put it in front of me.

OP posts:
Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 20:06

Nevertheless, I probably am always in a calorie deficit as I excercise LOTS and run even more. Then I'll often make myself go to bed hungry.

What is the blood width one?

I'm keeping it together with this one as it's not saying re-test

Do you need a screenshot of my LFT results from Epic?

I am genuine - blunt, but genuinely not one bit concerned by you having those results (qualification: not a medic, just somebody who has seen her blood results regularly since she was a kid).

Have you considered that your health anxiety/general anxiety might be linked with an eating disorder? Getting help for that would be far more useful than constant tests and panics.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 20:15

Never drop, yes please

I probably have got an eating disorder. And when I do eat, I eat crap but I'm trying to eat better.

I just got very worried about being related for my liver. Google was saying bone cancer.

OP posts:
Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 20:19

I don't understand why my vitamin levels were ok but yet I've been twitching, and still slightly am twitching. It's defo improving since I've had some electolytes, tablet form.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 20:23

It says to book with reception. So I'm hoping that like people have said, they're not too concerned. I'll probably get a phonecall tomorrow to book back in for bloods.

They havnt text me yet, which they normally do. Reception must have been closed when the Dr reviewed my bloods.

This happened to my mum recently. Everything fine apart from liver function. She had the tests repeated and they were fine. Then they went up again and then fine.
We think it was due to diet/not having enough water etc. but who knows. Sometimes these things just happen.
Hang in there OP. Try and focus on what you can control and not what you can't. You can't control your results or when your next tests ar woe the wait in the middle. But you can control what food and drink you have and keeping yourself healthy and distracted.
I've told my mum to delete the app... it has no place for people with health anxiety! (She hasn't!!!).
