See my other thread.

I have just had blood tests for my muscles twitching, pins and needles in my hands, warm joints. Its all I.proving through since I've been taking eleoctolytes in my drink these last couple of days

One for my liver has come back high and needs repeating. Please calm me down..I feel like I could pass out.

All the other results are in normal range. Its just this one.

I'm calming down. I'm at a 7 out of 10.

I'm so embarrassed how I react in panic with health anxiety.

My DH said that once, his liver came back high and he was told it was probably due to his IBS

That's great.

The embarrassment is part of the anxiety, it's totally routine and common to feel that.

Did you try the tapping?

[Edit - I mean it's great you're feeling calmer, not that your DH has IBS!]

TheCandidSnake · 26/06/2024 20:56

I have horrendous health a.xowgu too and I know that you are panicking. Just breathe and take a deep breath. Of your other tests are normal it's likely its nothing serious. I had elevated LFT and it turned out I have issue withy gallbladder. Painful but not deadly. Also, you probably know this but your other symptoms could well b anxiety. I have these symptoms often and ally other tests are always normal. Our bodies are so in sync physically and mentally that if your on edge all the time you will likely get a bunch of physical symptoms. Just try to keep calm and await for further news. I bet it won't b anything serious.

Nevertheless, I probably am always in a calorie deficit as I excercise LOTS and run even more. Then I'll often make myself go to bed hungry.

You're literally killing yourself trying not to die.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 21:06

Serum ferritin

It says the Dr wants to speak to me about that but everything else is normal.

Is that a cancer marker?

Stop asking for reassurance.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 21:08

Why Serum Ferretin. Blood one's were normal/satisfactory

The more you ask the more anxious you will get. Get off your phone, this forum. Breathe. Stop googling.

I've been there, I get it. You will never get better unless you learn to do the above.

OP, you need urgent help.

But for your anxiety, not for your book test results

Yes you will.

At this point I genuinely believe MN need to pull this thread, the OP is clearly not in a place to be receiving medical advice from complete strangers, and it will actually exacerbate her condition, not help it.

I agree.

I think we should all report it.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 21:20

No

robotgun · 26/06/2024 21:20

I already have reported, and I'm someone who has been pretty much where OP is and is still managing HA every day. And that's how I know that this thread is dangerous.

@Terrifiedshakes please stop catastrophising. No one can say what's going on other than your GP.

Terrifiedshakes · 26/06/2024 21:23

Ok. Please don't pull this thread. It seems like it's not helping but it's stopped me actually having a breakdown

But it hasn't. It's just pushed you further towards your next breakdown. I hope you have a good GP, OP. I hope they are able to see you and help you.

robotgun · 26/06/2024 21:26

You have to learn to not seek reassurance, it feels the anxiety.

I had a big blip on Saturday when I had abdominal pain, went in a hole, really wanted to start googling, made myself understand that it's anxiety talking, not a dangerous disease, and that by googling I would make it all so much worse.

Got through that day. By day two I had a better grasp on it all and perspective.

I've reported too, for the exact same reason. Reassurance to this degree only reinforces and fuels HA

PalePurplePumpkin · 26/06/2024 21:28

Who is looking after your child OP?

Are you alone?

Please, is Serum ferritin a cancer marker..please

Serum ferritin is a measure of iron levels in your blood. It can indicate whether you have an iron deficiency (which can cause things such as lightheadedness), but none of these tests in isolation are definitive. You are panicking beyond anything that is reasonable and I highly recommend calling 111 urgently to discuss your mental health with a professional, if not 999. You mentioned suicidal thoughts earlier. You need urgent help, but not about your blood tests, which all appear non-urgent as per your GP

anotherpain · 26/06/2024 21:29

I've had some really dark days with anxiety. I've actually in the past made myself worse by blowing up a simple ailment into something far worse. I've wasted so many days worrying about shit I cannot control.

Please OP just take a step back and chill. You cannot control this but you can control the anxiety by not fuelling it. Distract yourself play a game, watch a programme, read a book anything to stop the spiral.
