For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

sandwiches, scones and flasks of tea in the park. Sounds good to me.

Goodnight sleepy people. I feel very awake this evening.

Boco · 12/04/2008 22:32

Hello
Thanks for today MrsC, had a lovely time and you're a fantastic shopping companion - honest and poetic descriptions to boot.

Sorry about dd1 being a grumpy pain. She's been quite awful all evening and wailed all teh way home about various injustices.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 22:37

Don't apologise, she wasn't a pain, she seemed a bit fed-up though didn't she? Maybe she is getting a cold or something.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 22:39

lol at honest and poetic - did I spout Keats over the cardigans??

It would have been awful though wouldn't it, if I had said those station shoes looked nice. You would have known I was lying.

BBBee · 12/04/2008 22:55

boco: carrot what do you think of this dress?

carrot: that dress reminds me of summer evenings with a slight scent of rose in the air and the slight ripple of of a newt's tail as it scurries under a nearby rock. However, it makes your bum look really bit.

was it like that?

Boco · 12/04/2008 23:00

It was a bit like that. Greys were not just grey but the grey of umm, concrete.

Yes, station shoes bad. Fat ankles bad.

Might try getting sparkly shoes from monsoon on Tuesday in London, there's one in walking distance of where I'm staying in Fulham.

HelloBeeAreYouStillHere?

TooTicky · 12/04/2008 23:01

You'd think it would be quicker typing without the spaces but it's not because it takes more thought.

Heloo Boco

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 23:04

Grey of concrete? Sorry

The sparkley grey shoes were good though, maybe monsoon will have something like that?

How are you, Toot?

TooTicky · 12/04/2008 23:06

Okay thanks M

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 23:07

halfway through? Seems late doesn't it, were they not off over actualy easter then? mine have been back for a week.

TooTicky · 12/04/2008 23:10

No, we had Easter, then 2 weeks of school, then the holidays
Am trying to find us budgetty things to do that are still Fun.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 23:12

our next term will be very long though

BBBee · 12/04/2008 23:14

hello

yes i am here - was reading the breastfeeding in the swimming pool thread and kept changing my mind and got all confused.

BBBee · 12/04/2008 23:14

oh and we have those perverted easter holidays too. I have bought some tissue paper.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 23:17

do you remember that tissue paper for loo roll at school? That was vicious.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 23:18

maybe I am thinking of tracing paper. Ignore me.

TooTicky · 12/04/2008 23:19

Bee, it is scarily quite possible that we could meet up I don't go there often, but I could....
I wanted to know as well, what are you studying exactly and what are you going to be when you've finished? I've only got a hazy sort of idea. I wanted to talk to you t'other day about a girl I met, I was quite affected.

MrsC, still want to meet with you too but no way we can afford to travel far atm.

TooTicky · 12/04/2008 23:20

We had pinky-purple sort of crepe paper in school. Tracing paper usually in iffy public loos.

UnderRated · 13/04/2008 00:15

Bugger, I just settled down to MN but spilt my cup of ice cold water on the sofa which then trickled down and formed a pool underneath my bum before I had time to leap up so now have v wet & cold bottom and nowhere dry and comfy to sit

lol @ zippi's fish/ black tie story

Glad that food allergies etc have been ruled out, Lully and that it may all be sorted out relatively easily in a few weeks. Doesn't sound fun but good it is nothing worse. I don't think they have CO over here.

Mrs Carrot, what a lovely day with Boco.

I have had a lovely day with a friend. Not good 10/10 though but have walked several miles. F&V: Refried beans, lettuce, tomato, apple, grapes, 2 gingerbread muffins

BBBee · 13/04/2008 02:02

oh sorry toot I am working and didn;t check for a while. Am pretty sure you are in bed now. Am around tomorrow though.
