For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I bet the singing was marvellous franny and btw i think you have totted up a lot -- a very lot
i have escaped from my party and come home in the middle on the pretext of picking up some photos
am putting the kettle on for tea and some washing out to dry
it is much nicer, the babysitter is bemused but have assured him he will be paid in full
anyway I have eaten a lot of pickled onions but probably only enough for one portion
it does feel like a helluva lot of pickled onions tho

Hello my lovelies

FK the elder is v interesting indeed, will have to try & get some
CO was wonderful yesterday, such an intuitive & gentle chap & fabulous with ds.Let him operate the button to zoom the bed up & down.
Have ruled out food allergies, gut problems etc,but his cranium was super tight..so ds lay & had his head manipulated & chattered away very happily for half an hr.

He thinks ds had a virus in October & huge growth spurt which has compressed & tightened things, causing low immunity & bizarre behaviour.
Hopefully three sessions over 3 weeks should do the trick

poor little chap

We braved Ikea today & it was blissfully empty, but dh would not let me buy a mini wooden picnic table & umbrella for ds so I am cross

food has been appalling today
must shop tomorrow

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 20:27

lully that's good news about the osteopath, was he very reassuring

I reckon I've had 10 on one meal...

Chicken with - parsnips, leeks, brocllir, mashed neeps, carrots, beetroor, fennel, beans, baby sweetcorn. Followed by pear and rhubarb crumble. And mango juice.
I thang gew....

Dh is still there but I have just returned with tired fretful children,

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 21:44

Good lord, FMV, that sounds like a banquet. I had a fishfinger sandwich but it was a superior one.

I had a great afternoon with Boco. There are a lot of mature clothes around we decided, batwings and stripes that would look good on a cruise ship, either that or very young things with stars on. I needed jeans but as usual came away with two v-neck sweaters. I got home at quarter to seven , the time flew by.

Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 21:45

it was a banquet
We got there at 2pm and I left with kids 20 mins ago....
It was our semi-regular Sunday Lunch club.

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 21:46

aw F mate, are you ok?

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 21:52

Sunday lunch on Saturday?

She did buy a dress, a very nice one. There were some sparkly shoes that would have been perfect but the 6 cut off her circulation and the 7 had inches to spare. Someone did the sizes wrong.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 21:53

I thought of you franny, on the 'do sandwiches taste better as triangles' thread. They do, especially when there are lots of them.

Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 21:58

yes MrsC, I know. But we always drink toomuch wine when we do it on a sunday night, and I am busy tomorrow so we did it tonight instead...

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 22:03

it sounds delicious, beats my fishfingers. Roasts can be so great can't they, and also disappointing. I feel murderous if we go out and the food is yuk. Had a duff one on holiday but the goats cheese starter and fizzy rose had put me in a good mood so I didn't mind too much. Then we were distracted by the table next to us who finished their meal and flew off in theur helicopter. It was quite exciting but they circled the field too many times waving at everyone and we decided they were very pleased with themselves and went back in.

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 22:06

isn't there to be a spring picnic, Franny? When are you due again?

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 22:12

beginning July
am starting to have problems with transport (back ache)

hey everyone can come here!

Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 22:13

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 22:14

lullabyloo · 12/04/2008 22:16

We'll all come by helicopter

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 22:17

erm it is small
and full of boat
I live very near a very nice park as Avi will confirm

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 12/04/2008 22:17

for a picnic/baby shower
& eat delicate cucumber sandwiches & tartlets

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 22:23

should have accompanied the garden party with a wink, of course that would be tiring. The park would be nice. Do people in England have baby showers?

FrayedKnot · 12/04/2008 22:24

I'll take the boat

With DS' permission of course

If anyone has the Guardian today and hasn;t read it there is a beautiful vegetable paella recipe in the magazine.

Have just watched Memoirs of a Geisha

DH has been to japan several times and said he wondered why women kept passing him little boxes with rice cakes in

You will not understand this unless you have seen the film

I am off to bed now hope everyobe has hada good evening
