For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I always find m+s good for bras but you have to ask for the corsetier or whatever they are called - the bra fitting lady - the ordinary assistants won't help

Bee I am good, thank you, and glad to hear about your playdough poo experiences

i like the sound of the huskies t-shirt.

Maybe she should wear that and jeans and a tiara.

BBBee · 12/04/2008 14:28

i find it weird in a nice way when i see people from here on other threads

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 14:41

playdo poo

bras must be fitted right, m and s are sposed to offer that, have always wanted to do rigby and peller but can't afford
huskies tshirt jeans and tiara sounds like a great look
a "you'd be mad not to" look
i want to get my hands on a ladies fit elvis presley outfit (apropos of nothing at all)

anyway have given lawn such a brazilian I have to reseed

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 14:43

boco do you find it easy to wear dresses, i'm afraid of them

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 14:44

what do you do with your legs? tights? jeans? opaque? but it's spring. .not hot, not cold enough for opaque.. but american tan?
it's all so confusing

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 14:44

then what over? a cardigan? but then it has to match

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 14:45
Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 14:48

I'm an over jeans gal with opccasional forays into opaques and boots. And if it's really sunny, bare legs and nice flip flops.

UnderRated · 12/04/2008 15:02

I feel thinner today. And taller And I don't ache stuffit - I thought you must be some sort of gym guru who goes all the time. I roffled when you said you don't go anymore

Have a plan now, based on what you've all said, so should be more productive if when I go again. TBH, although I'd like to do stretching, I feel like a bit of a plonker doing it.

MrsC, that's what happens to me - all good food, nothing bad and I end up being heavier and fatter

And I have wrestler legs and the Biggest Calves in the World

Hope people meeting up have fun. And everyone else too.

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 15:34

i did have the fitting lady in mands but she just didnt come back so i gave uop waiting like a lemon and when i handed them back and said no none of them fitted she just said right

and she must have been able to tell i was pissed off and someone in the queue sniggerd so i shant be going back in there

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 15:36

sounds good UR

i bopught a summer dress a few weeks ago oin river island but havent worn it yet

i dont feel very comfortable in dresses

that is the draw back of this ball and black tie business

heaven knos what iw ill wear

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 17:05

sodding moss

anyway dresses fmf yes but dresses with boots? maybe if you don't have an innate sense of how it will then it won't work.

UR very glad you don't ache and I'm sure you are both thinner AND taller. Yes even though stretching seems (qv: f&v ) to do no good it does feel nice. and let me disabuse you of your misconception -- I am no imposter I was a gym babe!

i had tight shorts and everything

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 17:09

i bought clumpoy brown boots to wear with my dress so it reduced the dress aspect to something manageable and unfrilly

i havnet worn it yet tho i have worn the booots a lot

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 17:13

zippi this issue should be addressed
what have you worn in the past for black tie

FrayedKnot · 12/04/2008 17:53

Hello dear fruity veggers

Boco & MrsC hope you had a lovely time shopping & lunching

I have gymned, swimmed, and shopped today

Also had nicoise salad in pizza express

I always do some yoga stretches at the end of my gym session, plus something to stretch my hamstrings because they are extremely unstretchy.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 17:55

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 18:02

that sounds very good fk

i have been very lazy i bought a bottle trap

and thee boys finished fitting my new basin which looks lovely

but because i didnt go to bed till about 5.30am i have been rather lethargic

i think i have only been to one black tie thing and that was ameal for exh work in the butchers hall and i think ig ot a rather nasty 80s dreass in brown and blacke velvet from a charity shop

this evening was only memorable for a few things chiefly the senior partner i sat next to had a very large fish dropped into his lap by the waitress

she compounded this error by diving in with both hands trying to get it back

a kind of tussle ensued with him saying no no and trying to push her hands away and her being more determined to stick them down netween his legs

i had a lot of difficulty containing myself

aprt from that i have never been invited to anything with a black tie

FrayedKnot · 12/04/2008 18:09

Oh when I was in the Health Food shop today I saw they do a sambucol elderberry extract specifically for children, if anyone is interested (LL?).

Franny are you OK?

I must make some sort of supper for DS

But I can;t get up, my legs have died

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 18:12

i am roffling like billy at fish and butchers hall and the whole lot with cream topping and a cherry

well done frayed not i wish i was you today, though I have mowed energetically

carrots, pear, banana, watermelon

what is wrong with your throat franny, do you need to neck elder again

zippi am about to bathe and slap on for party i don't wish to attend so can't hang about

BUT imo the most important thing is that once a man is wearing black tie the woman is allowed to do whatever she wants to make herself look fab, you know, hair and makeup and fake tan and everything, SO the clothes can be nice and simple and elegant

but the shoes must be wonderful and remarkable

that is my view and i hope I don't have to put on a tin hat in the bath

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 18:13

oh that is interesting FK - some people say you should not give elder to children at all so that's an unusual product to see, maybe?

yes I am fine just tired etc! we are waiting till ds goes to bed to eat and I am hungry also

have been at work and ds has been at party with chocolate fountain so is mildly bouncing off the walls

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 18:16

it was just a bit loud at the party so I had to do lots of VERY LOUD singing
which probably sounded awful
and I have the end of this cold anyway so I have got a bit hoarse

never mind people seemed happy
I am only doing one more party before dc2 arrives and I will probably miss it

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 18:16

I'm going to do my posting like
this in future as I am taking up
too much space
which is not to suggest anyone else is at all
but my sentences are short so it's a lot of air
and barely any sense

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 18:17

great minds
bathtime x

Haven't caught up properly but going out tonight so just quickly...

BBB well done on getting back on the 10/10 wagon! Does Boco need dresses?

I went running this afternoon - did you go MrsC? I've gone back to week 6 on The Programme and did 10/3/10 (run walk run) it was exhausting! But I feel like I'm back on track now. Tell me off if I don't go on Monday!

Food: mango, kiwis, dried apricots, tomatoes, celery, cucumber, radishes, bean and veg chilli, satsumas. Ooh that's 9 (small portions on some) I'll have some more fruit this evening and that'll be 10/10
