For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

have a "party" tonight that I don't want to go to but am someone's taxi driver so it's bitter beginning to bitter end

i am a miserable old witch but I'd rather stay home and iron and watch ocean's twelve

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 10:15

little carbs, I have hardly any carbs with the evening meal not little crabs.

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:15

Hi Mrs C poor ds he sounds really very under the weather indeed, i hope he gets lots of sleep but it must be so hard for him

but what about the inches that is more imp than the weight no?

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:16

i thought you did mean crabs! or an individual little crab anyway

Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 10:16

morning all...busy weekend, with a boozy sunday lunch party tonight (don't ask ), packing for son's outward bound trip, baking, allotmenting and fretting about my final assignment which I hve don nowt for and is due in a week.
Tomorrow I am serving teas at a grand country house for charity (hence baking) but the weather forecast is very

TooT - i only do rainbow stuff at festivals as otherwise people try and book me for their children's parties
I have a particular fondness for rainsbow stripey over the knee socks worn with mini skirt and pirate wellies - not an easy look to carry off on the school run....

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:17

miserable old witch has to get dressed and start the day

scrape the children off morning telly
one has gone to a hockey match and is doing the family's exercise for us

a homework battle looms

Boco · 12/04/2008 10:17

Lol I did wonder about the little crabs, and thought 'is she having little crabs every night, for a week? How strange.'

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:18

fmf the energy in that post ..

MrsCarrot · 12/04/2008 10:18

the inches are very present indeed, my stomach keep popping out to say hello over the top of my jeans. My shiatsu lady kept saying I can't believe you are 11 stone, you don't look it and when I said actually I was closer to 12 she nearly passed out.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:19

and what is WRONG with being booked for children's parties exactly? Hmm? HMMMM?

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:20

hello Mrs C's stomach
i am in "loose clothing" today
sometimes I wish I could wear shell suit trousers but only in the privacy of my home
but i guess you'd have to buy them first -- really one just couldn't

my shiatsu lady lol you sound like sting's wife

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:21

get those stripey socks over those soon to be puffy ankles

Fullmoonfiend · 12/04/2008 10:23

no, I meant, tis a bit distressing when people think you are on the way to host a children's party when in fact you* are just a depressed old hippy trying to recapture one's youth!

Stuffit - yes, I am a little bit
energergised at the moment - and it's not even remotely a full moon. Oh god, all my hormones must be to pot...

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:23

ooh I don't think I fancy puffy
I just get calves which i don't usually have
I have got stretchmarks on them from last time

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:24

ah FMF I get it the other way round

I find it distressing when people think I am just a depressed old hippy trying to recapture my youth, when in fact I am on the way to host a children's party

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:25

you wouldn't have fancied me then

lower leg stretch marks? how frustrating

it must be nice not to have calves ..am quite slim but legs like a wrestler

stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:27

one can be a distressed old hippy AND a children's party entertainer

multi-tasking -- it's the way ahead

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 10:27

is shiatsu stomach maassgse

well your body may need to adjust mrs c

go ing up or down by aup to about 7lbs in a fewd ays is something i often do

you cant really measure insmall amounts cos of fluctuations

keep going and at the end of a month you should have seen a modest change

and yes shape and toning is just as importsant

rofl of course as my tummy is a bag of flab completely undertoned

as bf keeps demon starting my bunching it up in his hands so i know i havent hidden it very well

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:27

no it is not especially nice
you can't get boots to fit and men are not particularly attracted to legs that have no curves at all

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:28

"one can be a distressed old hippy AND a children's party entertainer "

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:28

zippitippitoes · 12/04/2008 10:29

that will be because we went in the devil museum in vilnius i guess he was overly influenced

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2008 10:30

I am going to wash my hair and stop slumping here
have had banana, grapes, pear, raisins

OP posts:
stuffitllama · 12/04/2008 10:31
