Tutter · 21/04/2008 19:40

ooh, beware of the fat free yoghurts -- check the sugar content

trulymadlydeeply · 21/04/2008 20:47

I've noticed that I'm getting better at not missing the sweet snacks during the week, although I do admit to not really following it at the weekend (although I'm losing my sweet tooth a bit, so am less tempted even on my weekends "off").

My skin is beginning to improve and my digestion is much better>

Now need to do some exercise ...

FunkyGlassSlipper · 22/04/2008 07:43

I had NO snacks last night. Yay.

Today will try again. 1 rich tea biscuit for snack and no evening snacks.

Tickle · 22/04/2008 09:22

Well done FGS

Hope everyone is having a good day.

DH away overnight tonight - must resist the urge to eat junk

ingles2 · 22/04/2008 11:31

Hooray...Had a good day yesterday and I don't feel bloated today either
Keep up the good work everyone...

Toddles · 22/04/2008 15:00

Ok I'm in. Not brave enough to divulge results of my weigh-in today at least not til someone confesses to being somewhere near the mark. Suffice to say, bit of a way to go. Like 3.5 st. I joined a gym and've gone religiously 2 or 3x per wk for 10wks and have not lost a single pound. Have had my program altered so hope to get somewhere now. Have also given up visiting DS's chocolate drawer by moving it - since the move I've not been in it Simple but worked. Now just the small matter of not snacking. Find this a very hard habit to break, started it while BFing DS1 nearly 3yrs ago...

notnowbernard · 22/04/2008 16:13

Still going for it...

More than 3 weeks in now. It's definitely getting easier to resist the sugar.

Am also noticing I'm missing out snacks a fair bit so am tending to eat just the 3 meals a day (sometimes have a snack when the dds have their dinner)

Well done to everyone else

snorkle · 22/04/2008 17:07

I forgot to report in yesterday - the news isn't great - no change in weight on the week before. I was a bit surprised as I feel a bit thinner, oh well!

Tickle · 22/04/2008 19:04

Well DH away, and the two eldest DCs on a school trip, so just me and the tinies. Had boiled egg & toast for dinner with them

Keep going everyone!

marmadukescarlet · 23/04/2008 09:58

Room for a latecomer?

I stood on the scales today and scared myself, am always tired and picking at rubbish.

So today is my first day. I cannot give up coffee, but am limiting myself to 2 cups per day.

Had fruit for breakfast as I am an all of nothing girl and need a serious detox to sort my sugar addiction.

Hello ingles

ingles2 · 23/04/2008 10:00

hee hee... my tight muffin top jeans have now become my fit perfectly jeans!!!!!
Another day closer to treat day

ingles2 · 23/04/2008 10:02

Hi Marmaduke
welcome to our diet....
Everyones doing really well and I've lost 1/2 stone. How much do you want to lose?

Tickle · 23/04/2008 10:31

well done on the jeans ingles welcome marmaduke - always room for one more!

How is everyone doing?

Starting to get the munchies now, so will have to have a proper lunch early I think, that should sort me out. Cycled the 2 smallest to school this morning, and will pick them up the same way, as DH has the car. My thighs certainly noticed that the car was gone

MegBusset · 23/04/2008 10:35

I had veg stirfry last night, veg chilli tonight. Have had wine the last two nights but at least it's only a glass each time. Still no snacks apart from fruit

marmadukescarlet · 23/04/2008 11:08

Well ingles, you've met me (and I have to tell you guys, ingles is a BABE) so you know I am quite, erm, rubenesque, ahem.

I lost 24 lbs on WW last year, stopped going 6 mths ago and have put nearly all of it back on .

I would like to lose 2 1/2 -3 stones as I am very heavy, I way loads more than you ingles.

I do not want to be the fat woman in a sarong AGAIN this holiday. , I want to be happy to jump in and out of the pool with the DCs in my swimming costume (a bikini would be far too ambitious!) and not have to keep putting my cover up back on.

marmadukescarlet · 23/04/2008 11:10

I forgot to say, well done on the perfect fitting jeans ingles

ingles2 · 23/04/2008 12:08

I do luuurvvvveeee you Marmaduke!!!!
You'd be surprised though...I was creeping towards 12 stone a couple of weeks ago so I bet we weigh the same.
AND
You so do not have 3 stones to lose!!!!!!!!!!!
I too want to sit next to the pool this summer without having to rearrange my rolls (of fat that is ) and I've got a wedding in 5 weeks and I want to buy some ridiculous flimsy slinky number as opposed to buying something because it fits.

marmadukescarlet · 23/04/2008 15:00

Just between you and me ingles, because I know I can trust you not to tell anyone else ... I was 13 stone on the scales this morning.

ingles2 · 23/04/2008 19:28

Promise...I won't tell a soul.

So...

How have you got on today?

Tutter · 23/04/2008 19:30

another pound down for me

that's 5lbs in 9 days

hairtwiddler · 23/04/2008 20:28

Welcome newbies and well done those who've lost weight!
Still pottering along here. Not calling it a diet, but pleased with my healthy eating. Haven't felt overwhelmed with cravings in the last two weeks.
Clothes still feel the same though!

funnypeculiar · 23/04/2008 20:34

hello (I was with you earlier under my 'mybestfriend is called stig' name)
Been on hols in Devon & was not hugely well behaved, but lots of walking means still managed to drop another pound (now lost 4 lbs). Have struggled being back though, & need to get back with the program...

marmadukescarlet · 24/04/2008 15:34

fp where in Devon were you? I love Devon.

Despite having a stressful day yesterday (and some - cried twice in public, I blame the sugar cold turkey rather than patheticness) I managed to stay out of the easter eggs in the cupboard!

I did have to have a marmite sandwich at about 10.30pm though.

Feel a lot less bloated today (and less teary).

How is everyone else getting on?

ingles2 · 24/04/2008 19:08

Marmaduke at you in tears! Anything I can do to help?
Still going well, a friend actually commented on weight loss today tried to persuade her to join MN but she's signed up for Weightwatchers instead.
Will get on the scales in the morning as it's treat day tomorrow! Yippee!

marmadukescarlet · 24/04/2008 19:35

ingles, thank you for the kind offer I was just being a bit weedy.

(DS had picked up a car in Oxfam shop and I didn't realise, so I went back to pay and the battleaxe behind the till was being very rude about him - he wasn't being too bad either! Before that I went to a cafe for his lunch and the paninis in the tuna melt section were actually spicy chicken and veg. The label was tiny and on the bottom, they knew there were no TMs but had not turned the shelf edge ticket round. Cue DS' meltdown due to hunger and disappointment, cue me leaving coffee shop - and my lunch and coffee - with all eyes on me as I wrestle Ds back into his wheels to go and get him something different)

I'm actually feeling much chirpier now.

Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.

Treat day on Friday, huh? DH back from USA tomorrow so wine all round I think!
