I have been a little bit lax today (have been looking after sickly DS, so had to encourage him to eat by sharing some of his food -- honest!).

Breakfast: fruit & fibre, plus some of DS's toast
Lunch: Quorn ham roll, slim-a-soup
Dinner: pizza and chips
Snacks: no fruit , a couple of DS's animal crackers

Will be better tomorrow!

trulymadlydeeply · 16/04/2008 13:11

My midweek glass of wine is already beckoning ...

midnightexpress · 16/04/2008 13:29

Hope everyone's getting on well today. I'm packing boxes...thinking about biscuits...packing boxes...thinking about biscuits. You get the idea. but, I have not yet eaten one (and couldn't find one if I wanted to).

Stress levels rising almost imperceptibly...ds2 had a wail-a-thon at his settling-in session, and the car is playing up, with its usual impeccable timing.

So far today:

usual dull old breakfast
peanut butter on toast for lunch (is that bad? I figure it probably is)
dried fruit snack.
a few cups of tea (after all I am moving, it is required).

My db has just sent me a fabulous spa day package for my birthday to de-stress me after the move, gawd bless 'im.

Hope the bathroom is shaping up hairtwiddler?

hairtwiddler · 16/04/2008 15:57

Yes, I now have a bath and a shiny new loo! Shower will go in tomorrow we think then tiling on Friday. It's looking great.
Not a bad day here apart from a lick of DDs icecream (to help catch the drips!)
Had mini pitta breads with spinach and goats cheese for lunch plus a banana. Potato wedges and veg burgers planned for dinner. Had some snacky seeds and fruit this morning.
Noticed this morning my skin seems clearer and less dull. A good sign this is working!

notnowbernard · 16/04/2008 16:14

I'm struggling a bit today, have felt REALLY hungry all day. Not sure if I've got PMT, excessive hunger is always a sign... also noticing a LOT of imperfections in skin/hair/ageing process (even started an incredibly self-absorbed and pitying thread about my frown lines yesterday)

But maybe it is the detox process still

On the plus side my trousers felt a little bit less tight this morning

Have eaten as usual today... cereal and toast for breakfast, cheese and pickle sarnie and some melon for lunch. Had a cream cracker mid-morning. Will have some raw veg sticks with the dds at their dinner time and am having pasta with meatballs tonight... with some vino

Well done to everyone else

MegBusset · 16/04/2008 17:24

Fruit & fibre for breakfast.
Quorn ham roll & slim-a-soup for lunch.
Snacks: satsuma and banana
Tea: cous cous, chick pea and feta cheese pancakes, courtesy of M&S (DH is ill and can't be arsed cooking just for myself )
Keep up the good work everyone

ingles2 · 16/04/2008 20:20

Hi everyone....well done! you're all doing great..very virtuous
glad to hear your bathrooms going well hairtwiddler.
Poor you Midnight, packing is a nightmare, I definitely couldn't resist the biccys
Had a good day again,
special k for breakfast
sushi an apple and an alpen bar for lunch
salmon and green beans for dinner
Am working away from home this week and I'm missing a glass of wine....a lot. Lucikly my best friend is away in NY so can't come drinking with me phew I wouldn't have been able to resist.
Tomorrow will be hard, really busy day and a catered lunch, the food is always delicious, cakes pastries etc all day. Wish me luck x

Tickle · 16/04/2008 21:01

Lookin' good everyone

just back from yoga, and have been walking the dog most evenings. Still resisting the call of a packet of 'top shelf' Smarties in the larder

Feeling very virtuous, but tired in the evenings - in bed by 10.30 if I can, which is not like me

Hope house moves and renovations went well today...

Tutter · 17/04/2008 11:15

hello all

day 4 in the tutter sugar-fee house

am doing pretty well

the m&s mini sticky toffee puds that i bought before my decision to join this 'club' have remained untouched by me - dh enjoying them though

have given ds1 bits from his treat cupboard without helping myself

may all be int he mind, but my jeans already feel a little looser...

Tutter · 17/04/2008 11:16

i'm not entirely sure i belong here though as it sounds as though the rest of you are dieting proper

i'm eating normally but excluding sweet stuff and booze

fo me this is a big change though as i have a BIG sweet tooth and normally have wine every night

trulymadlydeeply · 17/04/2008 12:01

I'm not dieting - just trying to cut out sweet snacks which were previously the mainstay of my daily diet. Can't cut out the wine, though , although only drink on Wednesdays and weekends.

MegBusset · 17/04/2008 13:13

I'm not dieting either -- no calorie-counting or anything, although I am trying to avoid anything really obviously unhealthy. Just going cold turkey on the puddings and snacks. Although I did have a bit of gingerbread man last night.

notnowbernard · 17/04/2008 13:30

'Diet' is a swear word in my house...

No, am not dieting either. Have just stopped sugar completely and am aiming for healthy snacks instead

Good God, if I had to stop the boozing it would seriously finish me off

You need something to look forward to and enjoy!

Am not exercising either, though suspect I should try to for health purposes at least

Tutter · 17/04/2008 13:37

i may decide to call of the no-booze rule for weekends

Tutter · 17/04/2008 13:38

call off

notnowbernard · 17/04/2008 13:40

Do it!

Become a binge drinker instead

MegBusset · 17/04/2008 13:46

I haven't cut out booze but have cut back to maybe two or three nights a week (from, erm, pretty much every night ). Also I only ever drink 250ml of wine in a night (I buy it by the small bottle).

hairtwiddler · 17/04/2008 15:51

No diet here either. Want to be healthier and set a good example to DD! I have a major weakness for sugary things. I hate the idea of 'being on a diet'. This seem like a much more positive change.
A good day here, lots of salad and fruit and no sugary snacks so far.

notnowbernard · 17/04/2008 16:22

am definitely finding it easier settling into the new routine of eating regularly

toast and (full fruit, no added sugar) jam (had run out of milk so had to have toast only!)
scrambled eggs on toast and melon for lunch

no snacks so far! Am going to have some raw veg sticks again with the dds at their dinner time

going out tonight for a meal with friends. Will try and choose helthily and of course, no pudding... no booze either as am driving, so should be a good day all round

FunkyGlassSlipper · 17/04/2008 17:13

I hang my head in shame.

I have eaten an oatmeal and raisin cookie when out this morning (to be fair I normally have chocolate chip) and then I have had a Caramel this afternoon.

I just cant seem to do this

MegBusset · 17/04/2008 17:29

FGS of course you can. Maybe cutting out all sweet snacks is too big a step for you, could you just cut down to one a day to start with? Then one every other day?

FunkyGlassSlipper · 17/04/2008 17:33

Maybe I could do that....

ingles2 · 17/04/2008 19:01

Hi Everyone,.. Have to admit I am now dieting!
BUT only because I'm so weak willed that I can't limit myself..binge or nothing that's me I had got into the habit of having about 1/2 bottle of wine every night and constant biscuit eating. So it had to stop.
Still having a glass or 2 at the weekends along with a few treats.
Today managed to avoid, pain au chocolats, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate brownies...mainly because I was so busy I didn't have time to stop. Boredom definitely makes me reach for the bottle / biscuit barrel.
So today I've had
fruit and fibre
alpen bar
prawn sandwich
going to have stir fry for dinner
Right of to Ikea to spend a fortune on toot!

QuintessentialShadows · 17/04/2008 19:04

Bad day again. It seems I cannot stop myself from eating when I am ill. The antibiotics give me a really bad heartburn if I dont eat.
